Blogmas Day 11 | Christmas At GPO Liverpool

I'm always on the hunt for new places to eat and prior to the Elan Laser Clinic visit recently, I haven't been to the Metquarter in I think close to a year. Recently I got the chance to head along to the GPO food market for their Christmas influencer event and as a fussy easter, I'm very impressed with what we tried on the night.

GPO Liverpool Food Market
GPO Liverpool is located on the top floor at the very back of the Met Quarter by the Everyman cinema, it's currently open seven days a week from 12 till late with 11 independent kitchens and over 400 dishes for you to try. They even have a food delivery app with iBe so you can get some of their delicious dishes from the comfort of your own home. They even offer bottomless brunch for £25 or for £30 with cocktails instead of beer, cider or prosecco. All of their kitchens are hand selected to give you a great selection of things to choose from so there is something for everyone.

Christmas Influencer Event
For the Christmas influencer event at GPO Liverpool, we were welcomed in with some prosecco and talked through the evening whilst we waited for everyone to arrive. It was really interesting because everyone was sat next to each other on three long tables which helped encouraged people to talk to your plus one but also to the other influencers around you. Other than asking for any dietary requirements, they took food choices completely out of our hands and people had a range of different meals. Some people had chicken burgers, pho, sushi, gyros, and beef burgers. I really like that it wasn't the same set menu for everyone because then you get to see the variety that they have at GPO.

The influencers on either side of me had a chicken burger with curly fries (this looked absolutely delicious and they said it tasted just as good) and sushi. Me and my plus one ended up getting smashed cheeseburgers from Twisted which looking at their menu on the GPO website and I need to go back and try their mac and cheese cause it looks so good. The cheeseburgers came at just the right thickness and cooked perfectly all the way through with melted cheese and onions (which I did take off cause I'm not a fan of them) and it also came with thick cut fries which again I would have preferred thinner fries. Whilst we had our mains, we did have a Christmas cocktail from the bar, I did completely forget to ask what it was called but I believe it was gin based cocktail and it was really fresh and I really liked it.

To finish off the evening, they kindly gave us boba tea to either drink there or take home. I think the one I had was like a mango lychee which I really liked. I would have happily have had a mocktail from the bar instead of the boba but I think that's because I was already so full from the burger and chips. It was such a lovely evening at GPO Liverpool, it really did get me in the festive spirit and I've already got my eyes on visiting some of the other places in GPO cause the menu looked so good.
