With all the money I spend to giving it that gorgeous pink colour that I've been sporting for a while, I've really been focusing on taking good care of my hair and colour. Something I've been doing for years is using hair masks on a regular basis to help me keep my hair nourishing and soft. I've tried a wide range of hair masks from more expensive brands to budget friendly versions and I wanted to share with you all the Garnier Hair Food hair masks as I've used them since them came out and always come back to them.
Nourishing Hair Food Banana & Shea
I think this Banana & Shea hair mask was the first Hair Food mask that I tried from Garnier which made me fall in love with the range. This mask is designed for dry hair and is supposed to be really nourishing with the banana, shea butter, rosemary, soya and avocado. I really like that these Hair Food masks are a 3 in 1 product, you can either use it as a conditioner, a hair mask or as a leave in treatment. I really love the scent of this banana & shea mask, the banana stands out then you get the hint of shea butter. I mainly use these as hair masks and I love that they're not ones that you need to leave in for 15-20 minutes, it can be a quick one for when you want to look after your hair but you're also in a rush. I don't know why but I love using the banana & shea hair food during the summer and it's a scent that I will always associate with summer. This hair mask has 98% natural origin ingredients in the formula.
Repairing Hair Food Papaya & Amla
One of my all-time favourite scents has got to be the Papaya & Amla Hair Food, it's such a gorgeous sweet but not sickly scent. This one is designed to be repairing hair mask that helps to help intensely nourish dry or damaged hair. The papaya & amla hair food is the second mask that I tried from Garnier, it's definitely my most favourite one that I'll reach for again and again, I have used it as both a mask and a conditioner. I find it works incredibly well both ways and because I do bleach highlights in my blonde hair twice a year to make the blonde brighter, this repairing papaya & amla one really helps to nourish my hair whilst also leaving it smelling absolutely incredible from the first use. I pray that they never ever get rid of the scent because it's my favourite scent from Garnier.
Glowing Lengths Hair Food Pineapple & Amla
Now I'm new to the Glowing Length Pineapple & Amla hair food and I think that this one is more targeted towards those with long, dull hair. Similar to the others, it's designed to give intense nourishment to longer hair whilst also helping with split ends and also helping to keep your hair looking shiny for up to 48 hours. The Glowing Lengths hair food really does have that pineapple scent when you very first smell it but then it goes to a more sweet scent and reminds me of those little chewits sweets. I haven't tested this one out yet but from seeing the reviews online, everyone seems to rave about it so I'm excited to give it a go and see the difference compared to the other versions that I've tried. From the scent along, I'm already becoming a big fan.
I really like how budget friendly these hair masks are, you get a huge 400ml tub for around £7.99 with some places being cheaper because I feel like these hair masks are always on offer. These are always my go-to if I need a great, cheaper hair mask and so far I've not tried one that leaves my hair feeling greasy or not feeling any benefit from using it.
