It's been such a cold start to December so this range of hydration heroes from Murad couldn't have come at a better time for my skin. I really like that their whole hydration range is purple so even if you're aren't familiar with all the Murad products, you know which section to go for if you need a bit of extra hydration in your skincare.
AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
Something I've been loving with my dry skin at the moment is the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser because not only is it a chemical exfoliator but it also gives you a physical exfoliation with the jojoba beads in the formula. It's such a nice creamy facial cleanser, I've been using it twice a week. It's designed to help with dry, dull skin as it's a 3 in 1 product that helps to give you a physical and chemical exfoliation to give your skin a fresher appearance and improve the penetration of your skincare products and helps to optimise your skin's ability to attract and retain moisture.
It has a blend of salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids in the formula for the chemical exfoliation and even for my more sensitive skin, it hasn't irritated my skin or cause any redness which is amazing as it's something I always worry about. The AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser has really helped with immediately improving the look of my dry skin and I'm excited to see the difference in my skin with longer term use of it.
Revitalixir Recovery Serum
I've been really loving adding this Revitalixir Recovery Serum into my skincare routine first off because it just looks cool with it having bubbles of product suspended in the serum and also because I really like how hydrating and nourishing it is. This serum is designed to be used on your face and also around your eyes to help smooth stress lines, reduce under eye puffiness and dark circles, and help improve vibrancy when you first use it and with continued use over time. It's such a light and beautiful serum and whilst I have really dry skin, this serum is designed for every skin type.
I've been using this Revitalixir Recovery Serum twice a day since it arrived and it barely looks like I've touched it so this one really will last me. The serum itself has a pearlescent finish to it so it does help give your skin a really nice radiance to it when you massage it into your skin. I really like that it's a thicker serum and I spritz on a facial mist before using it because it really helps to lock in some more moisture. It melts into my skin beautifully and it's not one of those serums where you put it on and it absorbs in and feels like nothing is on your skin, it leaves what feels like a protective layer.
Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture
Because of my dry skin, I really look for thick and nourishing moisturiser so the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture is absolutely perfect for me. Despite being such a thick, nourishing moisturiser, I find that it doesn't feel heavy or weigh down on my skin and it doesn't pill. It's supposed to give up to 24 hours hydration and helps to restore suppleness, help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, provide enhanced moisture retention and helps to smooth texture. I really like this Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture as the final step in my skincare routine (before SPF). Not only does it make a beautiful base for my makeup but even on my no makeup days, it really leaves my skin feeling nourished all day and it doesn't feel tight or irritated. I really like that it doesn't really have a scent to it either. It really does leave my skin feeling silky soft all day.
