I have been on a hair care journey because I've been putting so much time and money into my hair when I got to the hairdressers and recently the lovely folks at Matrix Haircare got in touch to try out some of their iconic products to test out on my hair and hopefully review for you all if I liked them. Seen as the brand is completely new to me, I thought I would do a little New In blog post with the view to come back for a more in-depth review after I've been testing them out for a bit because it takes a little while to see the difference your haircare is making.
Matrix Haircare
Matrix is one of the leading global professional brands for hair care products and hair colour that was founded in 1980 by an American hairdresser called Arnie Miller. Their products are accessible to hairdressers throughout the UK and Ireland with over 150 stores to provide hairdressers with a comprehensive range to products that would help them to grow their businesses whilst allowing them to take advantage of their talent and creativity.
Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Leave-In Treatment
The Miracle Creator multi-tasking leave-in treatment is their iconic leave-in treatment with multiple benefits. It is designed to be applied to your hair whenever you need nourishment, shine, smoothness, frizz control, heat protection, strengthening and many more. It is filled with one AHA acid, two hydrating humectants, and three nourishing oils which help to 20 different benefits for your hair that look at enhancing, protecting and styling, with it helping your hair in just 60 seconds.
You can get the Miracle Creator in varying size bottles, between 100-190ml bottles that vary in price between £9.95-£17.50 depending on the retailer you purchase them from. This spray is designed to be spritzed onto towel-dried hair then combed through and styled as usual. As I've just gotten it, I've only tried it once so far which I really liked. I only spritzed it twice on each side of my hair then brushed it through my hair before blowdrying it. I've heard rave reviews online for this leave-in treatment so I'm excited to see how it helps improve my hair with continued use.
Insta Cure Billion Bond Oil
The Insta Cure billion bond oil I believe is one of Matrix's new launches which is designed to do what it says on the bottle, giving you billion dollar hair. It is formulated with citric and amino acids that helps to fill your hair with strength, helping to reverse signs of hair damage, and restoring the shine in a non-greasy finish. This hair oil can be applied to damp hair to help with hair breakage and give shinier, fuller looking hair or to freshly styled hair to seal the ends and add shine.
I again have only used this a couple of times as I don't wash my hair everyday but I really like that it isn't heavy on my fine hair so I can use it on damp hair but also on after styling my hair. With my fine hair, I've been splitting my hair in half then applying one pump of the billion bond oil to each side of my hair when it's damp. When I tried using it on dry, styled hair, I used 1 pump for the entire head and I comb it through the ends of hair from my ears down which works for me as it gives my hair shine and stops any flyaways/frizziness without weighing my hair down.
This has been my first introduction to Matrix products and so far I'm really liking them. I need to check out more of their products and I'll be sure to come back and write a more in-depth review of these two products but I will of course review any other products that I pick up from Matrix.
