Christmas is quickly approaching so it's time to start thinking about your Christmas nights out whether that be with friends, family or work. Recently I got the chance to head to Tempest on Tithebarn in Liverpool to check out their small plates Christmas menu which I can confirm has been the best Christmas menu I've tried so far. So let's get into the review and enjoy all the pictures of the delicious food before you book in your Christmas night out.
Tempest on Tithebarn
Tempest on Tithebarn is designed to be a place that people can come to enjoy and relax, eating, dancing, laughing and getting together. The whole ethos behind the restaurant is that they want to keep things local and fresh either from the honey being used in their food and cocktails made by the bees on their roof to the rooftop herb garden that is currently growing produce to enrich the food they serve. Anything that they can't grow or make it themselves, they strive to source it from the most local, independent suppliers.
Whilst they are an amazing restaurant, they also offer a co-working space in their atrium which are open from 8am-6pm for £5 a day or £20 a week with private rooms available for hire. You do also get filter coffee or tea from the bar through the day, perfect if you need a little change of environment from your usual work space.
Christmas Small Plates Menu
The Small Plates menu has just launched at Tempest on Tithebarn and includes a food, dessert and cocktails menu, it's just in time for Christmas and all those Christmas parties and nights out. When we arrived the entire place was filled with Christmas decorations and really helped you to get excited for Christmas (my favourite time of year!).
Tempest on Tithebarn have got everyone covered with their menu this year. Besides their cheeseboard all of the dishes on small plates menu are priced between £6.50-8.50 and are incredibly generous for the price. For example the beef wellington you could easily share between 2-3 people with some of the sides. I absolutely fell in love with the truffle and parmesan hassleback potatoes, the honey and rosemary camembert as well as the lemon and herb seabass. Even for Christmas Tempest on Tithebarn have gone the extra mile and created a Christmas themed cocktail menu including a mocktail called The Good Samaritan which everyone at the event loved and even those that drink swapped the non-alcoholic gin for normal gin and said it tasted just as good and for only £6 they were so reasonably priced for a large gin goblet full of mocktail so you really get your value for money.
I genuinely think that the best way to enjoy the small plates menu is to get a bunch of dishes and share them between you because they are so generous so you can just sit there with some great food, drinks and enjoy the Christmas spirit with the people you love. Tempest on Tithebarn is top of my list to go for Christmas night out with my friends this year and I definitely need to head back and check out their year round menu cause it looks amazing!
