This summer, I've been really wanting to find some new places in Liverpool to visit for lunch and I was made up to find out that One Fine Day is back open for lunchtime service and the wonderful Chef Claire Lara from BBC One's The Coronation Dish show created some amazing dishes whilst I was there for lunch so I just had to share it with you all.
One Fine Day have reopened their cafe on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 9am with their deli being open for lunch from 11am-3pm. Their deli hosts a selection of in-house baked goods, salads, sandwiches and more with a selection of hot and cold drinks available to either eat in or to take out. You can even pick up goodies at the Leaf pop-up tea shop there.
Claire Lara won Masterchef: The Professionals back in 2010 and has most recently her King Oyster Mushroom Filo Tart been included in The One Show's competition to find the UK's coronation dish. Every day, lunch at One Fine Day includes dishes created by Claire including some of the delicious dishes we tried while we were there. When getting lunch at the deli, they have different sections that you can choose from. Think of it as one part is mains and the other section is sides. There are plenty of options for veggies and meat eaters in the mains section, however there aren't any vegan options in that section so it's just something to be aware of if you have dietary requirements. I went for the focaccia sandwich which was delicious as well as someone potato and hummus on the side. I can confirm they were all so tasty and I clearly have eyes bigger than my belly cause I couldn't finish it all.
To finish up the lunch, we picked up a couple of desserts to have with a coffee in the sunshine because if you saw that sponge cake decorated with fresh berries, would you really turn it down?! I'm really impressed with the deli lunch we had from Claire Lara, her dishes really are incredible. It's definitely worth a visit either if you work in Liverpool city centre or if you're out and about in town during lunchtime.
