Whilst I'm getting all the Christmasy food posts up but I'm loving trying new food places in Liverpool and Byron had me in the invite when cheese was mentioned! I have never visited Byron before so I was really excited to give their menu before and they've recently moved their Liverpool One location to being just by John Lewis so it's perfect for your Christmas meals either with friends, family or your work colleagues.

The Byron Christmas menu contains six different items, the Cheesemas burger and then 5 side dishes including the roasty tots, jumbo pigs in blankets, Camembert bites, gingerbread cheesecake, and gingerbread shakes. The Cheesemas burger comes with a beef patty, bacon, fried smoked cheese, cranberry sauce, rocket, maple mustard mayo, with a pot of gravy.

I headed along to Byron with one of my fellow spoonie friends Christy so we could catch up with before Christmas cause realistically we aren't going to have the energy to have another catch up before the festive period. We were welcomed in by our lovely server and talked through the new menu before given time to think through what we might want to try off the new menu.
Now as you all know, I am the fussiest of eaters but Christy is much more open to everything so I got the sauces on the side cause I don't like mustard mayo and I've never tried cranberry sauce before (yes I'm a weirdo, I'm fully aware!) but turns out I really like it. I loved the roasty tots and the camembert bites, they were the perfect sides for the the Cheesemas burger.
Can we talk about the cheese pull on this burger?! I have no idea what cheese was in it but they were absolutely delicious and we were both in shock when we took our first bite to get such a cheese pull as we were not expecting it at all. Whether you want to dip your burger into the sauces and gravy or you want to pour your gravy all over the top, you can customise it any way you want and it tastes amazing any which way you mix and match the customise it.
If you try nothing else with you burger, you need to try the gingerbread shake. This shake is practically so thick it's a dessert! I like sweet things so I was in love with this shake, it was a delicious gingerbread shake with lots of whipped cream topped and Biscoff crumb. This was to thick, that it arrived to our table first and didn't fully melt the entire time we were there at Byron which is quite some feat. I do however want to head back and try out the other milkshakes flavours they do cause it was that good.
We had such a lovely time at Byron, all the staff were so lovely and the Christmas menu was delicious. I'm definitely going to have to head back to the Liverpool One location soon to try out the rest of the menu cause I've loved what I've tried so far on this visit.
Have you visited Byron before?
