Blogmas Day 2 | I Am Doner Liverpool

Danielle Levy, I am Doner Liverpool, Liverpool food, food blogger, lifestyle blogger, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,
I haven't done a food post on my blog in a little while and with being off sick with my asthma, I've spent a lot of time at home and not really seeing my friends so when I got invited along to I Am Doner Liverpool for the launch of their Christmas menu, I brought along my bestie Fliss so that we could have a good catch up whilst also introducing her to I Am Doner as she's never been before.

I Am Doner Liverpool
I Am Doner was started by Paul who was trained in Michelin starred restaurants and wanted to make the doner kebab more than just a guilty pleasure after one too many drinks. They have stores Bootle, Chalk Farm, Datchet Harrogate, Headingley and Leeds. As well as their standard menu that I've featured on here before, they've also recently launched their Christmas menu. This Christmas menu is a Christmas twist on their Berlin doner, rice box, salad box, street cart fries, as well as vegan options for all of the above.

Christmas Menu Launches
This year I Am Doner Liverpool have got their new Christmas menu available for in-store and delivery. As mentioned above they've made a Christmas version of standard dishes, the Berlin doner, rice boxes, salad boxes and street cart fries which is great if you love the standard menu and want something with a Christmas twist.

I took one of my best friends Fliss along with me to I Am Doner and we decided to try out a selection of the menu including the Christmas one. I ended up going for the chicken Berlin doner because it is so good but I added on the mac and cheese bites which if you go, you need to try the mac and cheese bites cause they're just next level good! Fliss went for the Christmas Dinner street cart fries which came with turkey doner with stuffing, sprouts, parsnip crisps, pickled red cabbage, carrots, crispy fried veggies, dried cranberries, bacon frazzles, and gravy all on top of their delicious fries. It was such a great twist on the typical Christmas food items, you really do get a bit of everything you love at Christmas, all in one dish. All of their Christmas menu options come with Voner Seitan and I love that they've got exactly the same menu items on the vegan menu with some small changes to make it vegan friendly, instead of giving them something completely different which I often see when menu's have vegan options. We did also get some of their skin on fries, a side of doner meat and some drinks and sauces because if we're going to test the menu, we need to try a bit of everything.

I don't know how they make their flatbreads but they are absolutely delicious, I wish you could buy them frozen cause they'd be amazing for flatbread pizzas. We had such a great evening at I Am Doner Liverpool, the team were so friendly and even brought us their custom hot sauce to test out which Fliss did like (I'm too much of a spice wimp to try it!). I really like how they've created their own style Christmas menu without feeling like it's what you see at every other restaurant. As always they do such great quality food and I wish they had a store closer to town or to be on the Wirral as I would totally eat there more often cause I feel like it's a healthier version of takeaway food.
