Blogmas Day 3 | Wild Deodorant

Over the years, I've really struggled with deodorants causing irritation to the skin in my armpits through my teens and twenties until I found a brand that worked for me. Recently I got the chance to try out some goodies from Wild and I thought I would share how I've gotten on with it so far.

Wild
Wild is a brilliant company that started off with natural and sustainable deodorants where you pick the case then can buy the refillable components instead of increasing your plastic waste by using single use deodorants. They have a whole range of scents to match everyone, including seasonal scents as well as a choice of different case covers. Wild have since expanded into liquid shower gels, soap bars and shampoo bars. They hope to reduce waste by creating aluminium cases that are designed to last a lifetime, saving you 30 grams of plastic waste with each refill. Their formulas have been developed and tested to give you all day protection which is perfect for your busy life. The Wild formulas contain natural ingredients with no aluminium salts, parabens, or sulphates. The formulas are also vegan and cruelty free. I really like that Wild help the planet but planting trees for every purchase made. They even offer a subscription service so you never have to worry about running out of your favourite deodorant again.

Wild Deodorant
I recently got the chance to test out a selection of the Wild deodorants and I decided to go for the pink case and they even engraved it with my name but they even have themed cases to choose from and I've already got my eyes on the starry night case cause it looks so pretty. The cases are very hard wearing being aluminium and come in three pieces, the lid then the base comes in two sections that you can pull apart in order to put your refill cartridges. Even for me with a weak grip, I found it pretty easy to pop open the base of the case in order to put the refill in.

At the minute Wild have three seasonal scents as well as eight of their standard scents that are there all the time. I was kindly sent three of their full size deodorant scents in ocean mist, coconut and vanilla, and fresh cotton and sea salt, I also got one of their travel sized deodorants in jasmine and mandarin blossom. The deodorant refills come in very minimal packaging which is also 100% plastic-free and easily recyclable at home. All you need to do is slip off the sleeve, give the sides a little squeeze to loosen it from the packaging and then firmly press it into the base and click the top of the base on top and twist the base till you see a little bit at the top of your case, then it's ready to use.

The refillable deodorant is a soft balm texture and I love that the scent isn't really weak or disappears quickly. I think my favourite scents have got to be jasmine and mandarin blossom, coconut and vanilla, and the fresh cotton and sea salt ones. I don't know which one to use first but I will be doing a wear test including some fitness tests and see how it holds up and I of course will share it all with you so if you have any tests you want to see me put it through, please leave me a comment below!
