Have you seen that the robot waiter craze has come to the UK and more importantly it's come to Liverpool. Last week I got the chance to celebrate my birthday and check out TCB Dining as well as their new robot waiters which deliver your food quickly and safely, fresh from the kitchen.
TCB Dining
If you haven't heard of TCB (The Chinese Buffet) Dining before, they started as a small restaurant in Bolton and quickly grew to be a chain of 11 restaurants offering a range of Oriental cuisine throughout the North, West and East of England with more plans to expand even further. Their prices vary from £12.50 to £21.99 depending on when you choose to visit TCB Dining.
Robot Waiters
One of the latest additions to TCB Dining is their new robot waiters which if you haven't heard are these super cool robots which connect to the app you use to order food for your table and smartly knows exactly what table you're at and delivers your chosen food completely hands-free. When you're seated, you're instructed to download the TCB Dining app (if you're planning to go download this to your phone in advance to save you time) then given a QR code to scan and that allows TCB Dining and their robots to know where you're sat, keep a running total of your order, all whilst keeping you and your family safe by minimising contact between staff and visitors.
When we arrived we were given instructions to download the app, had how the app works explained to us, then had our drinks order taken and left to it. The app is broken up into the different section of your meals and you can click through add as much you want in each section, they do pop a little warning message up if you order over 6 dishes to help TCB Dining to minimise any food waste and to encourage you to order a couple of dishes, finish them then order a few more if you're still hungry. Every time we ordered via the app, it did give us a ETA for how long the dishes would take to come out and every single time TCB Dining did it in a fraction of suggested time.
TCB Dining has honestly been the best buffet style restaurant I've ever been to. We all have eyes bigger than our bellies when it comes to buffets and as we go round and more things catch our eye, you tend to pile your plate a little bit higher each time, however when we get back to the table we're stuffed not even 1/2 the way through the plate. Every single plate that arrived to our table was the perfect serving size to give you a taste of the dish without leaving you bloated and unable to move after your meal. Both myself and Laura raved about every single dish that arrived to our table, bar the soups we tried a big range of the dishes that were offered on the menu.
Do you prefer serve yourself buffets or the TCB unlimited small portions style?
Speak to you next time!
