I've always been a paper planner girl but I do like to back it up with an electronic calendar because my memory is awful so when the lovely folks at Personal Planner got in touch offering me the opportunity to make my own custom paper planner, you know I absolutely jumped at the chance to try it out.

Personal Planner
Personal Planner was founded by the lovely Anders and Paula wh0 they found they had less and less time to do everything they wanted to achieve in the day and were having less and less time to spend with family and friends. They designed Personal Planner with the idea that every person is unique and the way they use their planners is unique to them so why are we settling for your bog standard fit everything style paper planners?! Personal Planner provide you with all the framework, tools, colours, and patterns to give you everything you need to personalise your planner to suit your needs.
They not only offer your standard paper planner outer style but you can also get them in organiser form as well as customised notebooks and wall planners. You can even buy their own design stickers to use in your planners. They really have got plenty of options for you to choose from depending on your preferences.

I did end up opting for the personal organiser option because I loved the cases they had on offer plus they also had the inserts similar to the other style of paper planner so it was the best of both worlds for me. I found it so easy to use the online create tool to customise my planner pages to meet me. In the creation tool, Personal Planner start you off by choosing which planner size and shape you want either that's mini, A5, or A4, and then you can even choose from classic, square or wide shape. Once you have chosen the size and shape, it's a really straight forward guide to follow where you click through the different steps until you get to the very end.
The hardest thing for me was definitely picking the design because they have so many for you to pick from for the front & back cover images as well as the images that are at the top of every page. In ended up going for the time blocked style weekly planner cause I really loved time-blocking my day a couple of years ago and I really want to get back into it cause I found I was more productive this way and also it allowed me to pace myself better throughout the day whilst also giving myself time to rest. I also like having a monthly layout as well as a weekly planner so I can jot things down like appointments and annual leave as I tend to plan my week on the Sunday so having this monthly layout is very helpful cause I have a memory like a sieve at the moment. I've been loving using the time-blocking style of this planner so far and I'm really getting back into the swing of things with it.
I really like that I got to choose what was in the bottom bar cause sometimes there are planners where you have things to fill out in the bottom bar that you just don't end up filling out so I ended up choosing the Best & Worst bits of the week as well as motivational quotes and a habit tracker because I thought they'd be the most helpful. In the back of the planner, you get to choose what additional pages you would like, instead of just having lined or dotted paper that 90% of the time doesn't get used. I decided to go for pages for the monthly goals, a yearly overview for 2025, a self care journal, the make a list pages with multiple mini to-do lists, a yearly habit tracker for 4 different habits, and a saving challenge.
I love how much choice that you get with Personal Planner, you really can customise it to suit your needs. I love that you can also start it at any time of the year whether you prefer a Jan-Dec planner, or you forget to buy a new calendar for the new year, or you need a planner to school that runs from August to July. It is such an incredible idea and the paper is a really nice quality which again is something that's really important to me. Anyone else really picky with things like that in their planner?!
