Now we all know how much I have loved my Simba mattress for the last decade so I was excited to try out the rest of their rest as when I first got my mattress from them 10 years ago, they only had mattresses whereas now, they have a selection of products including bed frames, pillows, duvets, toppers slippers and bedding. With us about to go into April, it's going to quickly get warmer so I thought it was about time to switch out my 16.5tog quilt for something lighter so Simba came through with their Hybrid duvet in a 10.5tog so I thought I would review it all.
These Hybrid duvets come from a single size up to a super king size meaning there's one for all bedding sizes. It's a 10.5 tog making it perfect for year-round use and is a 2-layer design with a cool-touch cotton cover with the Simba renew bio fibres filling which allow airflow. I went for a double size duvet, it's such a good size without looking too big or small for the bed and isn't super heavy. Having animals, I really like that it is machine washable and it has a cool square stitch design which is done to ensure that they duvet doesn't end up all clumped up cause we all know how horrible it is having a lumpy duvet! It even comes in a handy storage bag so if like me you like to swap out to a thicker duvet during the cold months (thanks raynaud's!) so I can store my other winter duvet in here during the not-so cold months and then put the Simba Hybrid duvet back in here when it's cold.
I ordered the Hybrid duvet and it arrived 2 days later so as always Simba were super fast with delivery. I really like the rounded edges on this duvet, it seems to be sitting really nicely in the duvet cover. I was getting to the point with my winter duvet where I'd go to sleep feeling cold but in the morning, I'd wake up roasting thanks to the sun shining in my window first things in the morning so it was the perfect time for me to switch it over. I've been using it for the last week and I've been loving it, it doesn't feel heavy which as someone who struggles with chronic pain, this is really helpful but I like that I'm not feeling really cold when I get into bed but then equally, I wake up nice and cool without overheating. I'm really excited to see how this performs when it's the summer and we have the predictable heatwave we get in the summer because of the cooling Stratos technology which is thermoregulating technology so it is designed to be cool to the touch, prevent the build up of heat, and evaporates moisture so it's perfect for keeping you feeling cool all night and comfortable for a better night's sleep.
I'm definitely going to have to feed back to you all how it was with this Hybrid Duvet during the heatwave this summer but I'm also going to be recommending it to my mum (she's currently suffering with perimenopausal heat flashes) so having a duvet like this that is designed to help you stay drier, cooler and more comfortable during the night.
