Now I don't know about you but I grew up in the world of America YouTuber's and over the years I've noticed the brand Liquid IV cropping up again and again, especially in lifestyle vlogs. Recently they finally made the trip across the pond to the UK and I was so made up to see them get in touch to try them out for myself so I could review it for you all.
Liquid IV
Liquid IV has been number 1 in the US & if you didn't know Liquid IV is designed as a vegan food supplement that helps to restore the electrolyte balance that can be lost through exercise, heat and travel as well as improving the absorption of water. Liquid IV now comes in 3 different flavours, lemon lime, passionfruit and strawberry. You can also get the flavour mix which has several of each flavour for you to try and find your favourite. Liquid IV also help by providing product donations to those in need as well as partnerships and grants to help expand clean water access across the world.
My Thoughts
Now I have tried previous re-hydration type powders that you mix into water and I've always been put off by the taste because to me they literally just taste like straight up salt and effervescent tablets so I was a bit reserved when these Liquid IV's arrived at my door. Luckily they sent them in some of my favourite flavours so I decided to give the strawberry and passionfruit first because I thought if it's a flavour that I like then I'm probably more likely to like it. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these to find that they don't have a really horrid taste as soon as you take a sip.
These easy to carry and store sachets from Liquid IV are designed to be mixed into 500ml of water to help enhance your hydration and rapidly replenish electrolytes. I have chronic migraines and various other chronic illnesses that cause me to feel horrible especially when I'm struggling with nausea and vomiting during a migraine so I have really liked having these to hand in my medication drawer so I can make them up whenever I feel a migraine coming on or if I'm struggling with drinking due to nausea and vomiting. Thanks to them not having an offensive taste, I'm able to tolerate them and it's been really helpful with managing my post migraine symptoms.
The only downside to Liquid IV is the price. On their website it's £19 for 15-16 sachets which considering it's one use per sachet for someone that uses it on a regular basis to help my health, they are more of an investment but I do wish that they did bigger packets like they do in the US. Considering I really struggle with drinking other types of rehydration sachets, these are the best option for me but I've been sticking to making 19 sachets last me a month so that it doesn't eat into my money too much!
