I've finally hit my 30's and it's time to start tackling signs of ageing so recently I've been testing out the Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum that is one of their most recent launches. As I've come to the end of my 20's, I've noticed that I've started to get fine lines/expression lines in various points on my face as well as it not looking as plump and glowy as it previously had done.
Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum
The new Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum is a fast acting retinoid serum that is designed to help tackle signs of ageing in only 2 weeks whilst being gentle enough to be used every night (remember that it's still a retinol product so you need to start getting your skin used to it by starting off using it twice a week for 2 weeks then slowly building up to nightly use). It features a 3.5% Retinoid complex and squalene to help minimise the appearance of pores, smooth any texture on your skin whilst also tackling the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
My Experiences
As I have quite dry, sensitive skin I was very careful about slowly introducing the Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum into my nightly skincare routine to ensure that I didn't get any side effects or irritations from overdoing it when you first introduce a retinol into your skincare, I now use it three times a week without any irritation. This serum comes in a completely opaque pump bottle with an airless pump which helps to keep your retinoid lasting for as long as possible.
I have tried different retinols in the past and I found this Dynamic Skin Retinol Serum the easiest one to incorporate into my skincare routine. You only need one full pump to do your entire face and I use literally a drop of this serum for my neck (yes, use your retinol on your neck too!). It comes out as a yellow coloured gel type serum and it melts into nothing when you massage it into your skin. I like that it's a thicker type serum and it's a gel formula, I'd say that it doesn't leave my skin feeling super hydrated or glowy and neither does it leave my skin feeling stripped when I apply it, it's almost like it's leaving a protective layer on my skin. I will usually pop them retinol serum on then do something else in my nightly skin routine before continuing on with the rest of my routine to give it time for the retinol serum to fully absorb into my skin before popping on a hydrating serum and my Sound Sleep Cocoon so that the retinol doesn't get diluted down.
