The other week I got the chance to head along to The Body Shop in the Arndale centre for a bloggers breakfast event to learn about their latest makeup launches, learn the different ways to get the most out of the products and to try them for ourselves including getting colour matched.

When we arrived the lovely folks at The Body Shop Arndale had a little bloggers breakfast arranged for us to enjoy before they started showing us the new product launches. I loved being able to visit the Arndale store as it's only an hour from where I live and it's such a nice change of scenery, it was really lovely meeting some more Manchester based bloggers as well as a few friends that I didn't know was coming along.

To start off Holly talked us through the limited edition Camomile Cleansing Butter which is new for Spring and has the addition of Japanese Camellia oil. I wish these were a year round addition because the addition of the Japanese Camellia oil in the scent just makes it so much better with the floral addition. I've been a big fan of the Camomile Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop pretty much since I was first introduced to the brand because it removes even my waterproof mascara without stinging or irritating my eyes. Holly also used my personal favourite the Edelweiss Intense Smoothing Cream to hydrate the skin before applying makeup, this is a big favourite of mine because it helps to keep my dry skin hydrated and glowing throughout the day.

As you're probably already aware of, The Body Shop is all about being sustainable and also reusing and recycling products to help with the environment so whilst in some stores they've released refillable product stations a little while back with your being able to refill their metal pump containers with some of their most popular products, they've most recently launched refillable makeup items. Right now you can get refillable versions of their Tea Tree Face Base and the Peptalk Lipstick. The Tea Tree Face Base comes in 40 shades and is super easy to pop in and out when you run out of it. It's designed to tackle blemishes without settling into fine lines, creases or pores. The Peptalk Lipsticks come in 20 different shades and are designed to a blend of matte and satin finish lipsticks that give you a hit of hydration without smudging or leaving you with that tacky feeling. To finish off the look, Holly talked about the All Day Long Setting Spray which has a biphasic formula that helps to set your makeup and lock it in all day

I loved spending the morning with the folks from The Body Shop Arndale, they were all so nice and helpful. I ended up coming away with the Camomile Cleansing Butter and I would have also picked up the White Musk Flora if it wasn't completely sold out so that's been added to my To Buy list next time I visit The Body Shop. They also kindly gave us a goody bag filled with some amazing iconic goodies from The Body Shop to try out at home.

Have you tried out the new launches from The Body Shop yet?

Speak to you next time!
