It's Time For Nursing Live!

As some of you may be aware, outside of being a blogger and content creator, I've been a qualified nurse since 2016. Working in the medical professional is renowned for being a physically and mentally draining career and there's not nearly as much focus on looking after the person behind the nurse. Recently I met the wonderful people behind Nursing Live and have never been more excited to attend a nursing conference.

For anyone that doesn't know, nurses have to do continual professional development (CPD) to improve our knowledge, ensuring we are practising safely and effectively, and ensuring we are updating our skills to meet evolving patient needs. Nursing Live is a 2-day conference which is a celebration of nursing and is hosted in Birmingham for 2025. Tickets are free and the conference is designed for everyone in the nursing profession where you can discover the latest updates on clinical practice, learn new skills, complete CPD hours, meet recruiters, see the latest medical devices and innovations, whilst also focusing on lifestyle and wellness to help you thrive and focus on your well being.

Nursing Live have gotten over 200 speakers for the 2025 conference in panel discussions or talks. This year the conference is packed full of useful and insightful sessions that have been designed for all nursing staff with 4 theatres, 2 workshop areas and a therapeutic space. I found it so handy that on the website they have a run down of the CPD programme that is going to be covered over the 2 days so if you're type A like me, you can plan out what sessions you want to go to ahead of time. For the 2025 conference, they have created two new features including themed networking sessions for facilitated networking for different groups over the two days and mental first aid where there is a focus around self-care and they psychological impact of nursing as well as partnering with Oasis Mental Health Support

There is a Compassionate Cafe that focuses on recovering from burnout, practical insight into managing stress as well as learning about the support available for managing the emotional impact of being in the nursing profession. There are a range of different exhibitors that are going to be present over the 2-day conference including Clarins, CQC, Florence Nightingale Foundation, Green Chef, Marie Curie, John Lewis, Kiehl's, Kings College London, NMC, Tendable, St Christopher's Care CARE, Teenage Cancer Trust, and many more.

As well as all the amazing things you can do over the 2 days, they are also doing a DAISY award for extraordinary nurses, where people have been able to nominate a colleague via the Nursing Live website until the 5th September who go above and beyond with delivering compassionate care. They even have a Nursing Live app so you can make yourself a personalised schedule for the conference. I am so excited to be attending on Wednesday 5th November and will be sharing my experiences on here and over on my social media. Don't forget you can book your free tickets to attend here & be sure to let me know if you're coming along!
