It's starting to slowly transform into Spring and with that comes events like cocktail masterclasses and this year Tempest on Tithebarn have kicked the year off with their Bottomless Cocktail Brunches every Saturday between 10am-4pm. You can either get the cocktail masterclass on it's own or you can add in the bottomless brunch section for just a little bit extra and get 90 minutes of unlimited cocktails plus a brunch dish of your choice included too.
Tempest on Tithebarn
If you didn't already know Tempest on Tithebarn is right in the centre of Liverpool city centre and is only a few minutes walk from Moorfields Street train station. They have a main bar area, roof terrace events space, atrium, Kol Box bar, meeting rooms and library so there's a bit of everything depending on what you need.
Cocktail Masterclass
As we entered into Tempest on Tithebarn, we were welcomed with a little cocktail and then escorted downstairs to the Kol Box bar where the masterclass was hosted. It was such a lovely little room including couches if you need to have a sit down in between cocktails. We had the lovely Harrie showing us how to create three different cocktails and then we also played a couple of games in between creating the cocktails.
We were taught how to make Aperol Spritz, espresso martini and their signature cocktail, the t
Tempest. With each one Harrie showed us how to make it first then let us have a go at trying to make our own. I loved that she was able to give us little tips and tricks with each cocktail on how to get the best result as well as alterations we could make to them all so that we could personalise it to our own taste. Whilst the Aperol Spritz and espresso martini's are obviously the classic ones to go for, I found the Tempest cocktail was definitely my favourite and I can definitely see it being the one that I drink over the summer. It contains chassis, Absolut raspberry, fresh lemon juice, prosecco and lemonade. It's such a light and refreshing cocktail so it's perfect for the warm weather.
A couple of things I would love at these masterclass is that if they had some nibbles for you munch on whilst you drink your cocktails as a couple of us found that by the end of the masterclass we were quite tipsy even though we had a toastie from Starbucks before hand. One thing I would also love was if they had the cocktails we made printed on little cards because by the time we got home I had completely forgotten how each drink was made up.
These cocktail masterclasses at Tempest on Tithebarn were so much fun and really reasonable for the price. Because you get your own room, it'd be perfect for any events like hen do's, birthdays, leaving dos etc.
