Whilst I'm slowly recovering and trying to build my stamina and improve my fatigue levels over the last week, one of my friends kindly invited me to the sit-down 1 year celebration for her business SG Creative. I was only there for 2.5 hours and I was shattered and needed to leave early but it was good to get out the house for my own anxiety so I thought I'd share with you all what we got up to on the evening.

SG Creative
SG Creative was started by the wonderful Sarah who started off her business actually as a hobby making gifts for people. Whilst she was planning to launch her first website in 2021, this was disrupted due to health complications. SG Creative offers a range of products including christmas themed items, her incredible foiled vouchers, prints, scratch reveals, stickers, and charity themed products. Sarah is always amazing for offering customised products. She has kindly made me custom menus for an event I was gifting as a birthday present earlier this year.

1 Year Crafting Celebration
To celebrate her 1 year celebration, Sarah decided to host a crafting event in celebration recently in Tempest on Tithebarn in Liverpool. This event was a lot more chilled and it was a sat down event because of my anxiety Sarah was really welcoming and had me sat next to my friend Lynsey (who was also incredible with reassuring me and helping me with my anxiety when at the event).

Lynsey and I got there not long after 6pm when it started which was perfect as they're wasn't really many people there so it was too overwhelming and I could slowly adjust to one or two people arriving rather than walking into a room filled with people. Sarah kindly had prosecco waiting for everyone but as I'm really cutting down on my alcohol intake (for my migraines and anxiety) so I decided to get one of Tempest's Tropical Lemonade mocktail which oh my word it was absolutely delicious. After everyone had arrived, Sarah had organised for us all to put our own names on her Personalised Name Glass Bauble which is the most gorgeous iridescent baubles with a feather inside. Now I swear that Sarah makes this look 100x easier than it is because I have a lovely long name it was even harder to get it on and get it straight. I eventually got it on there with some help from Sarah and it will definitely be hanging on my Christmas tree this year.

After that little ice breaker which had us all laughing, we moved on to painting our own mugs. Sarah kindly gave us some example designs we could do, some more simpler and some more detailed. Not going to lie, I haven't done any painting since GCSE art which scared me for life. I decided to go for a very simple Christmas lights design and considering my shaky hands and arthritis I didn't do too bad a job! Sarah was super cute and kindly also gave us one of her velvet scrunchies which are so cute as well as some hot chocolate and marshmallows to go with our mugs.

I'd highly recommend SG Creative for any gift ideas or even to treat yourself to some new bits for your house. Her product are all amazing quality, made by hand and come really quickly. Sarah is also one of the nicest humans ever so why wouldn't you want to support a small business?!
