These past couple of weeks seem to be event after event with lots of amazing new places opening in Liverpool. Most recently I got the chance to head along to the launch event of Gaucho Liverpool which if you didn't already know is situated in the former bank of Liverpool by James Street station.
During November Gaucho Liverpool launched in town and I got the pleasure to head down for the launch event. Gaucho Liverpool is housed in the beautiful former bank of Liverpool which is the perfect spot in town whether you want to go for dinner or drinks. Their menus offer carbon-neutral steaks from Argentina, the finest wines and signature Gaucho cocktails. Gaucho have a commitment to becoming net zero with all the beef they offer at their restaurant being 100% carbon neutral, they have partnered with the charity 'Not For Sale' to support carbon offsetting restoration projects in the Amazon, taking local people out of danger of modern-day slavery.
Their menu offers four different standard steaks but they also host four speciality steaks as well as sharing steaks. There is also plenty to choose from in the way of sides, sauces and toppings for your steak, so you can go with the fussiest eaters and they'll be something on the menu for them. Gaucho also offer invisible chips on their menu which is giving back to the Hospitality Action who gives back to hospitality families who lives have gone backwards over the last couple of years and are struggling to make ends meet.
Inside Gaucho is absolutely beautiful as they've kept a lot of the features of the old bank of Liverpool. On the night they had some of their signature cocktails as well as small versions of their usual meals, like slithers of steak, sliders and canapés for you to sample. I can confirm that their cocktails are delicious and they were far too easy to sip on. They also had some dancers, musicians and fire breathers there on the night to make it even more special. We had the loveliest server Ren bringing us another cocktail as soon as we'd finished one, she was the friendliest server and couldn't have taken better care of us if she tried.
I had such a lovely evening inside Gaucho that I'm definitely going to have to go back and try out the full menu, including the desserts because they have got the most delicious dessert menu. I think it's definitely going to becoming a place to go for some cocktails before I go out with friends because not only do they have the best cocktail menu but it's also so gorgeous inside and the perfect spot to catch up with friends after a busy work week.
