I've quickly become a fan of Manucurist products since the middle of 2023 whereas I used to have shellac nails anytime I was on annual leave when I worked in a clinical job and it's not really any surprise that when they came out with some new bits for the festive season, I fell in love with these as well.
Holiday Collection Green Flash
This festive season, Manucurist have recently the Holiday Collection in both the Green Flash range and their standard nail polish range. This set includes three new shades that are just in time for the festive season as well as one of their glitters that you can use to accessorise your nails and do some nail art. I was immediately drawn to the Utopia shade and it was the first one that I used straight out the box but as I've had them for a little while longer, I've really started liking the shades Sparks and Red Velvet, I even wore Red Velvet for over Christmas and was surprised by how much I liked how it looked on my nails. I love that they went for black diamond glitter and not a traditional festive colour, plus it compliments the 3 festive shades really well and it's actually encouraged me to experiment with nail art (I'll spare you from seeing it as I'm still learning and not very good at it).
Better With Glitter Duo & Nail Art Brushes
Whilst I'm trying to experiment more with doing my nails and nail art so I was excited to see this Better With Glitter Duo and Nail Art Brushes in my package to help push me outside my comfort zone with my nails. The Glitter Duo comes with a rose gold biodegradable glitter as well as a glazed effect powder with applicator. When I used to get my nails done in shellac, I loved adding glitter on top of a matte colour to spice up the design, either in a glitter french nail tip, a glitter waterfall from either the base or tip of my nail or having an entire glitter nail as a focus nail. I'm also excited to try out their nail art brushes set which comes with a dotting tool as well as a fine tipped brush so you can get as creative as you want and change up your design. I've played about with the dotting tool but my hands are still a bit uncoordinated to use the fine tip brush but I'd love to use it to help me do a coloured french tip style with my nails.
Active Glow
I was so excited to see the Active Glow in my parcel because it looks amazing and I've already seen great things about it on social media. The Active Glow is designed to be 2 in 1 perfecter that helps to enhance your natural nails whilst also helping to care for your nails as it's filled with AHA, raspberry extract, sweet almond oil and Lactobacillus ferment. It gives your nails a rosey glow and a mirror shine whilst helping to nourish and regenerate your nails in one easy step. You can layer this up if you want more of a rosey glow and I find it the perfect base for doing a french nail design with. On the weeks that I haven't had Green Flash polishes on my nails, I've been applying the Active Glow on my nails to help nourish them and really take care of them cause I can be pretty hard on my nails cause I was so used to not wearing polish and keeping them short when I worked clinically that it's a hard habit to break.
