While we might look after the skin on your body, how often do you actually use a specialised product for one part of your body? I'm constantly on my feet at work so I'm all for any products that look after my legs whilst I'm running around. Recently I've been trying out the Legology Air-Lite Contouring leg cream and I thought I would share with you all my experiences while testing it out for the past month and a half.

Legology is founded by the wonderful Kate Shapland who has wrote about beauty for 30 years. She developed Legology to deliver leg care that would make a difference to common leg issues. Throughout your life, your legs constantly change whether that fluid retention, cellulite, and vascular issues which can often make your legs feel very heavy, tired, and uncomfortable. Kate worked alongside French chemists to create a pioneering ingredient blend which is a combination of plant based actives to promote lymph flow and drainage helping to streamline and lighten heavy, tired legs. Legology really make a conscious effort to be a sustainable brand, all of their cardboard and plastic are 100% recyclable with their cardboard boxes being certified by the World Land Trust meaning the card that they use is carbon balanced. They even fund a female-led business in Maharashtra, India who are leading the way in recovering and recycling multi-use plastics to tackle waste that is affecting the eco systems in their jungles.
Air-Lite Contouring Leg Cream
The Air-Lite Contouring leg cream has quickly become a cult favourite and is designed to stand out from other foot/leg creams on the market. This cream is designed to be used as part of a lifestyle approach to looking after your legs including eating well, being active and using specially dedicated leg care products. It is also designed to be easy enough to use every day which they recommend to get the best results. I am obsessed with the scent of the Air-Lite Contouring leg cream, it's a gorgeous blend of Amalfi lemon, mandarin, rose, and bergamot. It's such a lovely scent and I find it particularly uplifting to use when I get up in the morning.
I initially started testing this leg cream out after every shower so my sensitive skin could get used to the formula but after about 2 weeks I quickly got to using it everyday after incorporating it in my morning routine. I got into the habit of doing my skincare routine then sitting down, applying the cream and whilst I'm applying it and massaging it in (you can find the tips of massaging it into your skin in the How To Use tab on the product page) I've been using that time to listen to a motivational podcast to help motivate me for the day ahead.
I found the Air-Lite Contouring leg cream to be such a lightweight cream, it's more of a gel texture and it literally melts into your skin leaving it soft and hydrated without leaving your skin feeling sticky. I literally massage it in and can get dressed straight away because of how quickly it's absorbed into my skin. Because I like to massage it in while applying it, I've found it works best for me if I apply enough product that I need for the particular area, massage it in then apply more to a different part of my leg and repeat as I found that if I applied all over my leg then massaged, my skin had completely absorbed it at the top of my leg by the time I'd worked up my leg. I feel like this leg cream would be incredible during the hotter months when your legs get really hot and sunburnt, it's really cooling when you apply it so I can only imagine how cooling it would be if you popped it in the fridge before applying it.
Whilst I mostly used this leg cream in the mornings, on the days that I was on shift I'd actually apply it when I got home after my shower and I noticed the best effect. It really helped to lighten my heavy, aching legs which was particularly handy cause usually the day after a shift, my feet end up aching really badly. I did notice that it's actually started slightly improving the appearance of the cellulite I have at the top of thighs so I'm excited to see the improvement with this as I get towards the bottom of this 175ml jar.
