It's been a little while since I talked about Dermalogica but when I got offered the chance to try out the new Nanoneedling facial by Jill at the Dermalogica counter in Flannels Liverpool, I absolutely jumped at chance because Jill just made the Nanoneedling facial sound incredible.

Now the Nanoneedling facial is pretty new to the Dermalogica counter at Flannels Liverpool and I was so impressed when Jill said she's actually managed to do this facial on herself which takes some serious skill!

The Nanoneedling facial is a non-invasive procedure with no downtime that gives you advanced professional results for texture or signs of ageing by diminishing fine lines and wrinkles whilst also brightening your complexion. This type of facial uses a device that uses cones to push the professional Dermalogica serums further into your skin than if you were to just apply them to the top of your skin during a normal facial.

Before we got started with the Nanoneedling facial, Jill went through some skin mapping and also used their skin scanner machine which uses different lighting to check for any signs sun damage, congestion, irritation, dryness or oiliness to help us see exactly areas we need to treat and what serums we needed to be using. Whilst we were still at the counter on the ground floor, Jill went through all the pre-treatment guidelines and the answers to my questionnaire that you need to fill out before the treatment. From there we went upstairs to the treatment room, put the relaxing music on (one to help me relax and enjoy the treatment, but also to drown out the loud music that Flannels seem to have playing quite loudly throughout the store) and got all comfy on the treatment bed.

During the treatment we focused very much on my dry and dehydrated skin so we were aiming to push as much hydration into my skin to plump it back up. Jill gave me a little taster of what the Nanoneedling machine felt like so it wasn't a big shock and surprisingly it doesn't hurt at all, you just feel like little pulses on your face as the machine works. I cannot get over how glowy and plump my skin was following the Nanoneedling facial. Afterwards Jill went over the aftercare at home following the treatment and how I should expect my skin to look over the next couple of days as the results get better and better. She did also kindly give me some samples of Dermalogica skincare to help tackle my concerns and enhance the results of my Nanoneedling facial. Dermalogica currently recommend 3-5 of these treatments with a 4 week break between each one to get the best results, you can either book them via their website or go directly to the Dermalogica counter in Flannels Liverpool.
