I'm well into my 30's now so my skin is needing all the help it can get so when Super Facialist got in touch about their range of SleepSmart night creams which comes with 4 different night creams for you to choose from depending on what your skin is needing at the time. I'm slowly becoming a big fan of Super Facialist skincare products so I was really interested to see what these new night creams were like.
The SleepSmart night creams come in four different options, rosehip, vitamin C, retinol and vegan collagen. All of them are between £16-20 each for a 50ml jar. These new night creams have been 3 years in the making of research, testing and development and are powered by the Resync SleepSmart Complex which helps to optimise skin rejuvenation overnight when your skin is more receptive to regeneration and repair. These complex's are designed to work in sync (get it?!) with your skin's natural circadian rhythm so you can wake up radiant and refreshed.
I was so interested to hear about the SleepSmart night creams because they're designed to be a fusion or science and sleep to give you your desired skin results and they make a great addition to three of their best-selling ranges. The vitamin C is designed to be suitable for all skin types, rosehip is for dry or more sensitive skin, retinol for those with signs of ageing, and the released launched vegan collagen version. I thought I would share what I thought of my two favourite ones, vitamin C+ and rosehip.
Vitamin C+
The vitamin C overnight resync night cream which is designed to leave your skin looking freshened and leave your skin glowing. The formula helps to brighten your skin whilst you sleep thanks to the resync sleepsmart complex and vitamin C whilst also being a rich and nourishing cream to help target dullness, uneven texture, and signs of ageing. This one has such a refreshing citrus scent so it's lovely after a long or bad day if you need a reset before getting into bed to help you have a relaxing night's sleep. It has vitamin C derived active, pomegranate flower which helps to smooth your skin and protect skin cells from external environment stressors, licorice extract which is known to help soothe as well as having anti-inflammatory properties, and the resync sleepsmart complex.
I'm really impressed with this vitamin C+ night cream, it's a gel texture but it melts into your skin and left a satin like effect so my skin felt really soft and smooth. I'm a big fan of the scent of this vitamin C+ range so the night cream makes the perfect addition. I've been using this night cream mainly when my skin is feeling really dull and in need of some radiance. Because I have more drier skin, I'll tend to layer this night cream with a hydrating serum before applying this to give my skin a boost of hydration. However if you have a normal skin type, you can get away with this without a hydrating serum.
Rosehip
For those in need of some extra moisture, the rosehip overnight resync night cream is designed to help nourish your skin whilst you're sleeping. It's designed specifically for dry and sensitive skin. It's filled with rosehip which helps to moisture, sooth and nourish, shea butter and allantoin which help to nourish, soften skin and increase moisture retention. I don't know why but I've always loved rosehip in skincare products since I was a teenager. I feel like this night cream has a thicker texture so it's perfect for us drier skin as it's more nourishing. With the scent, I find this really calming and relaxing when I use it so it's perfect before bed and has really become part of my evening routine as a way to relax and try and calm my anxious brain. The next morning, my skin is left feeling so soft and hydrated whilst also looking radiant.
I really like the packaging these sleepsmart night creams come in, it comes in a glass jar with a white lid which is simple but also looks great if you like to have your skincare out. Because I already have a stock of night creams that I'm working through, I gave my best friend the vegan collagen one and I gave my mum the retinol one to try out so once they've had a go at testing them out, I'll come back and give you all a review of what we all thought of them.
