New In | Protecting My Skin with Garnier

We're officially in the week of British summer but something you should be thinking about year round is using SPF to protect your skin. Recently the lovely folks at Garnier sent me along a summer care package including several of their SPF's to test out and review for you all. Seen as I'm as pale as a bottle of milk, this package couldn't have come at a better day because I'm now embracing being pale as a ghost because I don't want to risk getting skin cancer and if I want a tan, I can get it from a bottle.

I have seen this SPF mist all over TikTok and it has really intrigued me that you can actually spray it over your makeup to top up your sun protection throughout the day. It's designed to have an ultra-light texture to allow it to sit on top of your makeup without disturbing it. It is filled with glycerin, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid to also give your skin a boost of hydration. This super UV over make-up mist comes in a slim can so that it's perfect for fitting in any bag. You simply shake it well then close your eyes and pinch your lips together and then spray over your face and neck in an even generous motion. This has a light scent that does remind me of SPF's but it's not an offensive scent. I really like that you can spray this on without having to rub it in so it's going in my bag to take on the go whether I need to spray it on my face, neck, arms etc.

I really like having a light weight SPF either on my makeup-free days and on days I wear makeup cause I don't like it feeling too heavy on my skin. The invisible serum super UV has SPF 50 to protect your skin from UVB, UVA and long UVA. It's also designed to be invisible on the skin with no white marks, as well as being non-greasy/sticky. It's also formulated to help reinforce your skin's barrier protection. A little of this SPF goes a long way and it massaged into my skin without feeling heavy on my skin, it also leaves a slight satin finish to my skin.

The Face Fluid is similar to the above SPF but this one has hyaluronic acid but I believe it also comes with things like vitamin C also in the formula. I have drier skin so I prefer the hyaluronic acid version cause it gives me an added boost of hydration to my skin especially before I put makeup on. It's designed to help prevent sun induced dark spots and protect against pollution induced oxidative stress. This SPF is super slim and compact so it's perfect for fitting in your makeup bag or purse. I feel like this face fluid SPF is more of a liquidy SPF so if you tip this bottle upside down it will come straight out (be mindful if you do that when applying it on your face) but it does massage into your skin quickly without leaving a layer on your skin.

Now we all know that I'm as pale as a bottle of milk so anything called ideal bronze, I'm gonna be all over. This ideal bronze milk-in spray has SPF 50 to protect your skin whilst also vitamin E and beta-carotene to help protect your skin whilst also enhancing your current skin tone. Now I haven't had the chance to try out this SPF much compared to the others but I've been letting the family try this out and so far they're liking it and it has a really light scent different to the other SPF's I've tried from Garnier. My family have been using and with continued use it leaves they're skin looking more hydrated and brighter.
