New In | Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Cream

It's about that time of year where Dermalogica surprise us with another product launch. This month, they launched the Multivitamin Power Recovery Cream which is supposed to help fight the 4 signs of skin stress, dryness, fine lines, sagging and dullness. Because this is so fresh in, I thought I would do a little bit of an introduction post then once I've had time to fully test it out, I can do a more in-depth review for you all as it is on the pricey side so I want to make sure it actually works before recommending it to you all.

This moisturiser from Dermalogica is a vitamin enriched daily moisturiser that is designed to treat and help prevent signs of stressed skin, including tackling fine lines, dehydration, and dullness. It has ACE vitamin complex to help with your skin's barrier, freshwater microalgae with astaxanthin which helps to firm and lift, a peptide blend which helps to minimise fine lines and wrinkles, and B5 and niacinamide to help soothe dehydrated skin. It also helps fight environmental stresses and boost your skin's resilience to help to fight for premature skin ageing.

The Multivitamin Power Recovery Cream is designed to complement the Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque, eye cream & thermafoliant. I will say that this moisturiser has the heaviest component I think I've had from Dermalogica, I won't lie I can't figure out what it's made of but whatever it is, I've noticed that it feels cold to the touch. I find that this has quite a thick texture but easily massages into your skin and does leave a slightly tacky feeling till it's fully absorbed which takes a couple of minutes for me then it leaves my skin feeling soft. This is more pricey moisturiser at £92 for a 50ml jar so I've been using it sparingly during the week on bad skin days (I'm still a cheap girl at heart) to give my skin a much boost when it's struggling.

My skin gets dry all over and I get rosacea over my cheeks with occasional breakouts mainly around my nose and chin so I try and carefully introduce new skincare into my routine to prevent my skin freaking out. I was pleased to notice that it didn't irritate my skin but I did find that because my skin gets so dry, I usually still need to use a hydrating serum underneath, let's face it I need one regardless of what moisturiser I use cause yah girl is dry! I liked that this moisturiser doesn't feel too heavy on my skin so it's great whether I'm wearing makeup or not. I've been slowly adding it into my morning skincare routine so I'll be back soon with a full review for you all.
