It's been a little whilst since I've featured some newness from Dermalogica and I recently got sent the Liquid Peelfoliant because we all know that with the autumn winter weather usually comes with dull skin which when you've already got dry skin, it's really fighting against me right now. So let's see some of my first impressions of the Liquid Peelfoliant.
Liquid Peelfoliant
The Dermalogica Liquid Peelfoliant is a professional-grade daily peel for use at home and is a potent blend of acids and enzymes to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and evening your skin tone. The Liquid Peelfoliant is filled with glycolic, lactic, salicylic, phytic, and tranexamic acids as well as gluconolactone and fermented pomegranate enzymes which works on the different layers of your skin's surface to help exfoliate and unclog pores to give you smoother, brighter skin so you really are getting bang for your buck with this product. It's designed to used every other day to start before building up to daily use.
I found this Liquid Peelfoliant has been so easy to fit into my skincare routine. I simply double cleanse my skin then once dry, I apply one dropper worth of the Liquid Peelfoliant onto my fingertips then massage it into my skin and leave it for a couple of minutes (Dermalogica state you can leave it between 1-3 minutes), I started off using it once a week and leaving it on for 1 minute before washing it off. Then after 2-3 weeks, I've build up to 2 minutes, twice a week. This really is an interesting product because it's a thicker, more goopier type of product and I do notice a slight tingle once I've massaged it into my skin but it doesn't sting or burn which is fab for my more sensitive skin.
After the first use, I noticed that my skin felt softer to the touch and after a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin was becoming more and more radiant with the continued use. At the end of the day, it's an at home facial peel product, you will notice some benefits with the first couple of uses but it's not going to give you all the results from the first use. Similar to a lot of a skincare products, it's something that you've got to use continued use to get all the benefits, especially with things like fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation.
