It's always nice to get to test out a new skincare routine and I don't know if you remember how CBD skincare seemed to blow during lockdown and every brand seemed to be launching a specific CBD skincare range but I've finally gotten round to putting it to the test, all thanks to MANTLE.
MANTLE
MANTLE is a Swedish company that produce CBD infused skincare and body care, using CBD from a small scale organic farmer in Switzerland. All of their products are cruelty-free and all but two of their products are vegan. They've got a great range of skincare products with all of their skincare being ideal for sensitive and reactive skin but also safe enough for acne prone or oily skin. There's only 11 products to choose from in their skincare range, starting at £30 and ranging all the way up to £80 so it is a more luxurious skincare brand. If you can't decide what products to go for, you can even complete a skincare quiz that will give you recommendations and actually write out a suggested routine specifying when and how to use the products, depending on what you said your skin goals are.
The Wow Serum
I couldn't start this review without talking about the Wow serum first because let's face it, it's a showstopper product for MANTLE. As soon as you take it out of the box you can see exactly why it's such a loved product for them. The Wow serum is designed to enhance your skin's vibrancy and give your skin deep hydration and nourish your skin. MANTLE have filled this serum with vitamins C & E, CBD, hyaluronic acid, squalene, and light reflecting pigments so it's helping to deeply nourish whilst also boosting radiance and collagen production.
I've been absolutely loving adding this Wow serum into my morning skincare routine to really give my skin the glow it needs (especially with those 5am starts). I use it as the last step before my moisturiser and I find that I can go makeup-up free to work which is a huge plus when you wear face masks for so long during the shift. I also paired this under makeup and it gives you the most beautiful glow, perfect for the summer weather.
The Magic Milk Cleanser
The Magic Milk cleanser is the perfect addition to the MANTLE skincare as it's a wonderful creamy, calming cleanser that helps remove makeup as well as provide long-lasting plumpness, hydration whilst giving you a clean and smooth complexion. It of course has CBD in it but it also has almond oil, squalene, pre-biotic oat extract, papaya and mango enzymes and vitamin E. I have very dry, sensitive skin so I tend to steer more towards the creamy cleansers over foaming ones as they don't tend to irritate my skin. I love using the Magic Milk cleanser as the second step in my double cleanse routine as it picks up the last little bits of makeup that the first cleanse hasn't caught and it also really cleanses whilst nourishing so I don't end up with that really dry, tight feeling after washing it.
The Rich Cream
The Rich Cream is an ultra-protective moisturiser that is designed to help protect your skin from harsh weather, support your skin barrier, and promote skin regeneration. It's filled with CBD, magnesium, ceramides and Shea butter which help to nourish, repair and soothe your skin. I really like the fresh, citrus scent that the rich cream has, especially during the morning as it really helps me wake myself up when I'm half asleep. I really like that as soon as you start rubbing the rich cream into your skin you can feel the Shea butter in it and once it's melted into your skin it leaves a satin matte effect on your skin.
I have really dry skin so this is perfect for me to use year round cause my skin needs all the help it can get with hydration but for those who don't suffer as much with dryness, this would work perfectly as a moisturiser during the colder months/the days when we have really harsh, cold weather. We're still wearing masks at the moment in work and having sensitive skin too means 13hrs in face masks can lead to my skin feeling very irritated so I really liked double cleansing as soon as I get home from work then slathering this moisturiser on to soothe my skin.
