I feel like this month has been completely flown by and we've blinked and we're already in June. I swear when I was younger the months never used to go by as quickly as they do now. Towards the end of May, I started my work from home job as a nurse which is going to be a Monday to Friday 9am-5pm style job so this month my favourites have been a little bit different than usual and includes a couple of my old favourites and some new goodies.
Murad ExaSoothe Moisture Treatment & Cleanser
I've been testing out these goodies from ExaSoothe and this month I've been loving the Moisture Treatment and the Cleanser. For the first half of May, I was really struggling with dry, irritated and flaking skin on my face especially on my skincare free days. Thankfully having this ExaSoothe Treatment has been perfect for tackling this and giving my skin a much needed hit of moisture alongside all my usual skincare products. I love that this treatment is so calming and nourishing without feeling super heavy. Because I've been working from home, on a webcam everyday and sat in front of a window at my desk, my pale butt can look ill very quickly so I've been wearing makeup more this month so I've really been focusing on double cleansing my skin and using this Soothing Oat and Peptide Cleanser as the second step in my double cleanse routine. It's honestly such a great soothing cleanser that's super gentle and doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped.
L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream
I've actually loved using the L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream as my morning moisturiser before makeup this month and it has just been making the most perfect base for my makeup. I find it such a rich, nourishing moisturiser, it really does just melt into your skin and leave it with a satin finish. I love using it with a nourishing serum of an evening to really replenish my skin. I have started noticed a difference in my skin on the days that I switch it up and don't use it and my skin just does not look the same.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
I've been using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm as the first step in my cleansing routine to get skincare, SPF and makeup off. I have tried the rose version of this but it was my first time trying the original version and I can see why it's a cult favourite. I loved how this got rid of even full coverage foundation and waterproof mascara without any irritation or stinging of my sensitive eyes. I got the miniature size cause I've got quite a few cleansing balms/oils to work my way through but I really do love the scent of this one. It's got a really relaxing, calming scent to it because I use it of an evening to remove my makeup in my double cleanse routine, I find that the relaxing, calming scent really helps me to unwind and start relaxing from the day.
Clever Fox Daily Planner
I've used this Clever Fox Daily Planner before but fell out of love with it when I was introduced to another planner brand which worked better for my daily life. However when I was getting my desk, I found it buried in a pile of notebooks and knew it was going to be perfect for my new job. At lot of the past couple of weeks has been about Teams calls with various people multiple times a day and once I'm fully trained I'll be balancing my appointments so having this daily planner is perfect for me because it gives me a hourly schedule from 6am to 9pm but then also sections for your main goal, that days priority then a to do list and a rate the productivity. You then also get a weekly planning section and a weekly review.
L'Oréal True Match Nude Tinted Serum
Because it's been so hot here recently so when I've been having barely there makeup that actually provides some coverage, this month I've been using the L'Oréal True Match Tinted Serum. It's the perfect lightweight, medium coverage that also gives my dry skin a hit of hydration throughout the day. It's filled with 1% hyaluronic acid so it's going to keep your skin looking hydrated and you don't feel like you've got caked on makeup when it's hot. This is going to be my summer makeup essential.
Manucurist Green Flash LED Polish
With me working from home and not in the clinical area, this month I've been testing out the Green Flash Pro Kit from the Manucurist and I've been absolutely loved it (keep your eyes peeled for a blog review coming very soon!). Whenever I tried and paint my own nails, I usually end up chipping my nails literally the same day. Their Green Flash range is the first LED polish that is long lasting colour with easy removal that doesn't ruin your nails. I ended up getting this Pro Kit which is everything you'd need including 3 different shades. During May I've mainly been wearing the shades Dune and Gloss together, I apply two coats of Dune and then put one coat of Gloss before putting my top coat on. I'm torn with how many different colours they've got on their website, I already want a lot more!
Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette
This has been one of my favourite palettes from Too Faced, this brand with their scented eyeshadow palettes are just amazing. I'm definitely a shimmer girl so this Chocolate Gold palette was made for me as it's got only 3 matte shades and 12 shimmer shades! There are some that are my favourites that I use again and again but I do love using some of the bolder colours as a pop of colour under my lower lash line.
What have you been loving this month?
