First Impressions | Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Range

I've been skincare fanatic for a while now and I'm back with a new brand to share with you all! This month I was very blessed to get a package from the lovely people at Super Facialist to try out some of their skincare products from the Vitamin C+ Brighten range and I couldn't be happier. With the changing of the seasons and all the cold weather and rain we've had lately, I feel like my skin is looking a bit dull at the minute so this range couldn't have arrived at my door at a better time!

The lovely brand Super Facialist was launched in 2012 as a British-born skincare brand that was expertly developed by a team of skincare passionate skincare experts with years of experience in the beauty industry. Their mission is to empower people to become more knowledgeable about their skincare and boost their confidence to understand and listen to their skin and what it needs. The formulation of their products combine high-performance scientific ingredients with natural extracts and amazing aromas that give you premium formulas without the high price tag.

I was kindly sent a selection of the Vitamin C+ Brighten range including a cleansing oil, facial wash, eye cream, serum and moisturiser. I am absolutely in love with the scent of this range as it's got such a beautiful citrus scent thanks to the mandarin, orange, grapefruit, and lemon with floral notes and citrus peel. I've been loving using these in the morning cause the scent really helps to wake me up and boost my mood.

To start off my Vitamin C+ routine, I've been using the Skin Renew Cleansing Oil and the Gentle Daily Micro Polish Wash. I have seen the cleansing oil all over social media so I was so excited to see this in my box. This cleansing oil has been designed with all skin types in mind as is filled with vitamin C and E as well as olive, grapeseed, raspberry, rosehip, cucumber, and passionflower oil so you know it smells incredible and leaves your skin feeling so soft and nourished. It's so easy to use, you simply pop it onto your hands and gently massage into your skin, I love doing the massaging for a couple of minutes with my eyes closed to help calm my mind before splashing it with a little bit of water to transform it into a milk and I then rinse it off. I really like how gentle the gentle daily micro polish wash is because it helps to exfoliate my dry skin without leaving my skin feeling irritated. Against the scent of this cleanser really helps brighten my morning and is actually making my skin look more smooth, with less visible dry skin so I find that my other skincare products sink in a lot better. As someone with dry skin I really like how the cleansing oil and micro polish wash doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or stripped. It actually feels nourished and soft without that feeling of needing a moisturiser straight away. The daily wash is £10 for a 125ml bottle and the cleansing oil you can get the travel friendly 100ml bottle for £6.50 and the full size 200ml bottle for £14.

I'm very impressed with the Dark Circles Eye Cream as it really does help to brighten and revive your under eyes whilst also having light diffusers which help to start brightening up your under eyes whilst the active ingredients work over time to help with dark circles and also leaving your skin looking smoother, firmer and more radiant with continued use. This eye cream is £14 for a 15ml tube. I really like how lightweight this eye cream is and it doesn't really have much of a scent which is perfect for putting it around your eye area. It is a really lightweight cream so it doesn't feel heavy but it leaves my eyes feeling so hydrated but not heavy. I'm excited to see how it helps around my eyes with continued use. Now I am much more of a fan of thicker serums, I think because of my dry skin I feel like it helps more and leaves a protective layer on my skin. The Glow Boost Skin Serum is £17 for a 30ml tube. It has a combination of vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and algae extract which helps to deeply nourish, boost collagen and enhance the appearance of your skin to give you hydrated, radiant skin. Whilst this serum comes out thicker in texture, it melts into the skin with the same gorgeous citrus scent and literally melts into your skin so quickly. I'm not a fan of serums that take ages to absorb into your skin so I'm really happy that this glow boost serum melts into my skin and leaves it feeling nourished without that greasy feeling.

Lastly I got to try the Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser which is £17 for a 75ml tube. It's designed to give you brighter, more radiant skin whilst also helping to decrease collagen breakdown and even has some UVA/UVB filters to help protect your skin. Again it has the stunning citrus scent and also is a beautiful lightweight cream which is going to be perfect as the weather starts warming up and you don't want really heavy skincare. I've been loving to wear this daily moisturiser on my no-makeup days because it's so lightweight and it doesn't pill but it lets my skin breath whilst giving it a little glow. I'm really loving how affordable their skincare is whilst also gives you great results, I'm already looking at their other ranges they offer cause they have such a big selection so you're guaranteed to find something to match your skincare needs. When the lovely folks at Super Facialist sent me these goodies to try, they also sent along some really cute Dock & Bay 100% recycled makeup remover pads which are going to be perfect to take along to an upcoming hen do I have in May!
