Event | Sunday Roasts At Stoke Liverpool

It's been a little while since I've done a foodie blog post but I'm finally back with a review of the incredible Sunday roasts that is currently on offer in Stoke Liverpool. This was my first time visiting Stoke Liverpool but I've seen it in passing when in Liverpool and also all over social media cause people have been raving about the food and cocktails. I was kindly invited in and it matched up perfectly with Mother's Day so it saved me some spoons as I didn't need to sit in kitchen all day cooking.

Stoke Liverpool is housed in the Radisson Red hotel that is right next to Lime Street train station, St George's hall and also the theatre so it's perfect whether you're travelling, waiting for your travel or wanting a pre-theatre dinner. Radisson Red is a grade 2 listed building with stunning high walls, an open plan kitchen so you can actually see the chefs cooking your food right in front of you and it's even decorated with some iconic nods to Liverpool. I absolutely love restaurants having an open kitchen cause I'm a big foodie so I love watching all the chefs working away. Right as you walk in Stoke Liverpool has a 3-sided bar so you can watch your cocktails being made or even get a cocktail whilst you wait for your table to be ready.

The Sunday roast menu has completely smashed it out of the park, even coming from a fussy eater. This menu is available from 1pm-9pm and is £25.95 for 3 courses. You get a choice of 6 starters and we went for the tomato soup, vegan feta croquettes, and duck & chestnut terrine. Because I have such a small stomach, I'm always wary about ordering 3 courses at a restaurant but these the perfect sizing. I went for the vegan feta croquettes which was absolutely delicious and if anyone is wary about it being vegan cheese, you can't even tell the difference!

The mains come with a choice of strip loin beef, 1/2 or whole chicken leg, stuffed roll pork belly which all come with broccoli, carrots, cauliflower cheese, roasties, a huge Yorkshire pudding & gravy. Or if roast dinners aren't your thing and you're going with a family of roast dinner lovers, you can also get the fish and chips in the 3 course deal. We all went for the strip loin beef and oh my word did Christina smash it out of the park. I am usually a chicken only roast dinner person and I was shocked at how delicious the beef was and even the Yorkshire pudding had some shredded ham hock which was so tasty and the perfect added touch to the dish. I cannot get over the roasties topped with parmesan, if you go you need to ask them for it with parmesan on top cause it made them even more delicious. As you can see from the pictures, the plates weren't exactly small and it was a struggle for it all to fit on the plate so be warned that you're gonna be rolling out of there in a food coma with all the food that Christina and her chefs make for you.

To finish off the meal, there was 5 different options to choose from including the New York baked cheesecake, triple chocolate brownie, chocolate fudge cake, vegan strawberry or coconut ice cream, or the freshly assembled banoffee. Of course the chocolate lover in me went for the triple chocolate brownie which came topped with ice cream, icing sugar and what I think are dried strawberry chunks. I need Christina to give me the brownie recipe because for even being as stuffed as I was by the end of the main course, I demolished this brownie and it was the perfect size for an end of meal treat and would pair perfectly with one of their coffees to end your meal.
