I've always been a huge fan of The Body Shop and especially for their seasonal ranges so when I got word that their summer range had come out and they were having a blogger event with the help of Wagamama's for their summer launches, you know I had to head along to check out the newest launches and of course treat myself to some new bits for summer!
Summer Event
The lovely folks at the Liverpool One store kindly invited me in for their summer blogger event for their latest launches and I was blown away when I spotted what scents they were launching this summer. During the evening, they had the lovely folks from Wagamama's there to serve themed cocktails (and yes the cherry blossom lemonade was as delicious as it looked!) while we had a chance to look around at all the new products they've had in lately before they talked us through a dry body brushing routine before we got hand and arm massages with our choice out of the new ranges, it was really hard to choose because the Zesty Lime Blossom scent really reminds me of the Fiji Green Tea scalp scrub they used to have but I had to go for the Luscious Lychee because it was just my perfect summer scent.
Luscious Lychee & Lime Blossom
I think this year has been the first year where I've been completely blown away and fallen in love with all the limited editions launches. I knew from seeing the advertisements that I was going to love the Luscious Lychee scent (and yes I came home with pretty much the full collection of it) but I was surprised how much I liked the Zesty Lime Blossom scent. I don't normally reach for lime scents so I didn't think I'd go for this one but as soon as I smelt it, it instantly reminded me of the Fiji Green Tea scalp scrub so I did come away with the shower gel cause you always need shower gels!
This year, the Luscious Lychee range comes with a shower cream, body scrub, air-whipped body butter and eye sheet masks. Then the Zesty Lime Blossom range comes with a shower gel, water-gel body yoghurt and face & body mist. I really liked that this time round they've done different products for each range, even the shower gels, one range has a standard shower gel and the other has a shower cream which will help lock in moisture.
Besides the super cute pink packaging (totally perfect for the Barbie movie launch!), the scent is like summer was bottled up and I pray to The Body Shop gods that they make the Luscious Lychee a permanent range because it's so unique and such an incredible scent that I don't want it to go! I ended up coming away with the Zesty Lime Blossom shower gel and then the shower cream, body butter and body scrub from the Luscious Lychee.
