All I seem to be doing at the moment is going for roast dinners with my friends, recently I got the chance to take one of my best friends along to Mason's Liverpool to try out their Sunday roast dinner menu for Soulful Sundays. Mason's Liverpool are offering these incredible roast dinners every Sunday from 1pm, right in the centre of town.
If you've never visited Mason's Liverpool, it's at the bottom of Seel street, just up from the Tesco's so it's a short walk away from the Liverpool Central and the town centre so it's perfect for a Sunday roast to finish off the day of shopping or as a way to finish the week either with family or friends. Whilst we were trying the food menu, we thought it was only right to try the cocktail/mocktail menu because it'd be rude not too when they have a biscoff martini on the menu. Fliss decided to go for the biscoff martini as soon as she heard about it and seen as I'm currently teetotal due to my migraines, I chose the sweets on the beach mocktail which was absolutely delicious and the perfect accompaniment to go along with the roast dinner.
As you can see from the menu, you get a choice of 4 starters, 5 mains, and 4 desserts for £21.95 for two courses and £26.95 for three courses. Because I have such a small stomach and a sweet tooth, we went for a main each and then a dessert to share between us and by the end of it we were so full, we were ready to roll out of there.
I ended up going for the chicken roast dinner and Fliss went for the beef roast. Both of which came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables and green as well as plenty of sauces and gravy to share. Now you may look at the plates and think there isn't much on the plate but these were big plates and even Fliss was absolutely stuffed (it doesn't really take much to make me feel full) after demolishing these plates then of course we had to open our dessert stomachs to split the chocolate brownie cause it sounded delicious and we were sat right next to the dessert section in the open kitchen and we were getting dessert envy watching them all go out to the different tables.
I love that Mason's have an open kitchen so you can see your food and desserts being prepared as you're waiting for it to arrive which is great but also gives you great food envy because you then want what everyone else is having. It was really nice having a live performer there whilst we were eating which was some great background music which you're enjoying some great food and catching up with your favourite friends and family.
