April Favourites

I'm so excited to be back doing my monthly favourites now that I'm back on WordPress. This month has absolutely flown by, I can't believe how quickly it's come round to collecting my favourites. I've tried to do it a little differently this month and I've been keeping a log of all my favourites on my phone so it's in a handy spot ready for this blog post. This month it's a combination of beauty, skincare and chronic illness favourites.

As we all know by know my pain has been a really issues over the last month particularly in my back and hips and with my migraines being bad, I have to limit how much pain relief I can take so I have been living with this heating pad from Amazon almost permanently attached to me. I honestly think if it was wireless, I wouldn't be taking it off. I really like that it is machine washable and has several different heat settings as well as timers so if I fall asleep with it on, I can set how long it is turned on for. This heating pad is so handy whether you have chronic pain, bad cramps or you're constantly cold. The one I have is just under £20 and so far has lasted me over a year which is great considering I use it daily.

I am a big fan of putting hair masks in to really help nourish my hair & leaving it feeling soft. With the sun starting to come out, one of my favourite hair masks has been the Garnier watermelon mask which is perfect as it's designed for fine, dry hair. Whilst this can be used 3 different ways, as a conditioner, hair mask or leave in conditioner, I've mainly been using this as a hair mask. I pop it in after shampooing my hair, clipping it up and letting it work whilst I'm finishing my shower before rinsing it out. I absolutely love the watermelon scent of this hair mask and it actually leaves your hair with a light scent of watermelon which just makes me start looking forward to Summer. I like how hydrated my hair feels using this hair mask and because I have fine hair, it doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down.

I've been loving this Glowaholic Toner and Double Cream from Temple Spa that I've been trying lately, these two combined have been helping to smooth, hydrate and nourish my skin to make it look and feel younger. I can honestly see why the Double Cream is a such an iconic product cause it not only nourishes your skin but feeds your soul a little bit by making you think you're having a luxurious pamper every night when I use it. I love how beautiful, plump and hydrated my skin looks every morning after using this combo.

No matter what I do, I always seem to have dry lips (probably not helped by the fact that I bite my lips when I'm anxious). Since I've received these lip infusions lip balms from Blistex, I've been reaching for these again and again. I really like that how these aren't a really watery, thin lip balm and actually makes me feel like I've got a protective coating on my lips. The Lip Infusions range has 4 different ones for different ideas, restore, hydration, soothing and nourish. My favourites ones have been the hydration and nourish lip balms.

I'm officially over 30 now so I need to ensure my skincare routine includes a retinol serum and this month I've been loving the Kiehl's retinol skin-renewing micro dose serum this is designed to target fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin. I really like how gentle this retinol serum is and I haven't noticed any irritation when I've been using it and it's gentle enough to be used everyday so I've been using it every night. Since using this every night, I've noticed that my skin is more plumper and radiant. I also feel like my fine lines from trying to concentrate (yes I have resting bitch face when I'm focusing on something) have become less obvious and they don't look as deep.

I've been a big fan of Antipodes for a while now and I think this eye cream was one of the first products that I tried from them. The Manuka Honey skin-brightening eye cream is a thicker eye cream and I find it really nourishing so I've been using it every night and then even sometimes during the day when my under eyes feel more dry or dull. I love how nourishing this eye cream is as it really stops my under eyes looking and feeling dry. I also feel like on my make-up free days when I use this in the morning, it leaves my eyes looking my radiant and like I've had a bit more sleep and feel more awake than I actually am!

I've been a fan of the Urban Decay setting sprays since I started doing makeup when I was a teenager and I think it was one of the first products I bought cause back when I was a teenager everyone raved about the standard All Nighter setting spray. However, more recently Urban Decay has recently launched a new Vitamin C version of their iconic setting spray which not only helps to lock down your makeup for hours like the original version but it has a glowy finish to leave your skin looking so beautiful and glowy. I've been using this whenever I've been doing my makeup or sometimes I've even been spritzing it on at the end of my skincare routine on makeup-free days to leave my skin looking more glowy and radiant when I truly feel rubbish in myself.

I've struggled with irritation to various deodorant brands over the years and found that even drugstore brands that are supposed to be for sensitive skin still seemed to irritate me. Thankfully for the last couple of months, I found Wild Deodorant which I was able to switch straight over to and I haven't had any irritation to my under arms even with their scents that aren't designed with sensitive skin in mind. I also really love their scents as the scent of the product is a big thing for me, at the minute I'm using Cherry Blossom scent which is a gorgeous light and fresh floral scent.

I've been a big fan of the Manucurist green flash polishes and this month I've been wearing the new Playful Wonderland collection a lot this month and it's the perfect Spring trio. I've particularly been loving the Candy colour on it's own and the Porcelaine colour with one of the shimmer effect powders on the top for a gorgeous glazed doughnut look. I love how much better condition these Green Flash leave my nails in since I've started using it and they come off super easy with the remover without damaging my nails like gel polishes used to do.

What have you been loving this month?
