If you've been living under a rock and haven't noticed that Flannels has opened in Liverpool and right as you walk in on the left is the beautiful Dior counter that houses the fragrance, makeup and skincare. During September, I got the chance to visit the counter in Flannels Liverpool to check out the amazing skincare that Dior offers and test out some of the skincare for myself. After such a great experience I thought it was about time I shared with you all what a great experience I had at the counter.
The lovely Clare invited me in to check out the new Dior counter that opened in Flannels Liverpool but also to have a little introduction to Dior beauty and particularly an introduction to the Dior skincare lines, all of which I'm completely brand new too. The Dior counter in Flannels is conveniently located inside the main doors of Flannels Liverpool, just on the left hand side.
Clare set up for me to meet the lovely Hannah, check out their skin scanner and learn a little more about which Dior skincare products would work best for me. Unfortunately on the day that I popped in the scanner had had a malfunction (if it's gonna happen to someone, it'll always be me!) so I'll have to pop back in to check that out cause it tells you all about your skin and the issues with your skin that you can't see. After discussing my main skin concerns, what type of skincare/makeup routine I usually go for, Hannah kindly introduced me to the Capture Totale skincare line. This range combines 20 years of pioneering research on mother cells with the power of Dior floral science to offer your skin an instant visible skin transformation but also to work long-term to make your skin glow with health as well as appearing noticeably firmer, plumped and radiant.
One of my favourite things that Hannah recommended to me is the Capture Totale Super Potent Serum which is Dior's total anti-ageing serum which gives you the instant result but then your skin gets better and looks better the longer you use it. I tried it on the back of one hand to compare the difference it made and the hand that had just the serum on looked remarkably different so much so that I had to come away with a bottle to test out at home and see the difference in my skin (keep your eyes peeled for a full review on the serum). Hannah was so incredibly knowledgeable about every single product she showed me including the best way to use the products, the difference ingredients in each product as well as where in your skincare routine they would fit best and what skin type they would work best for.
After I'd learnt all about Dior skincare, we got talking about makeup and I explained that years ago I had a brief introduction into Dior foundation and at the time the shade I picked up was the palest shade but it was still unfortunately too orange toned for my skin. Hannah actually managed to find a foundation shade for me that was a perfect match for my skin but also in several foundations so I can pick and choose whether I want something with a more natural texture or something with a heavier coverage. She even kindly popped some on so that I could do a wear test throughout the day so I could see how long wearing it was, if it creased or oxidised throughout the day, or if it became patchy. I really liked the formula for the foundation so much so that it's convinced me to go back and pick up the full size.
Everyone on the Dior counter in Flannels Liverpool is so genuinely nice regardless of whether you are going in to buy or going in for some advice, they always make you feel so welcome. Won't lie but Clare, Hannah and Phoenix are my favourite folks at the counter if you need advice or pick up something new. I'm heading back to the counter very soon to try out some of the Dior makeup and check out some products that have gone viral at the counter thanks to TikTok and some that have been customer favourites for a while.
