If you're not a makeup person, you won't have noticed that Dior have released their gorgeous Christmas collection, called the Atelier of Dreams. So of course I had to make sure I headed down to the wonderful folks at the Dior counter in Flannels Liverpool to get a 1:1 makeover and learn all about the new launches in time for Christmas, try the makeup for myself and share it all with you guys.
This year Dior have got the Atelier of Dreams collection created by Peter Philips, who has envisioned a world of enchantment this Christmas, the whole collection adorned with the most gorgeous motif created by Anya Taylor-Joy. Depending on what you're looking for gift wise this year, Dior have got you covered whether its makeup, skincare or fragrance. They've got all possibilities covered for you and you can even get it specially gift wrapped to make Christmas even easier for you! I was instantly attracted to the celestial design on the exclusive makeup launches cause I've always loved anything celestial and magical, even more so at Christmas! I really love that Dior haven't just left the celestial design just on the packaging, they've even put the design onto the products themselves which I think makes it even more special to use cause it's not just your bog standard shade put in different packaging just for Christmas.
I got the chance to catch up with the incredible Hannah from the Dior counter at Flannels Liverpool to learn all about the new Christmas gifting collection and try some out for myself (Hannah is also quickly getting me addicted to Dior makeup and skincare!), I of course ended up leaving with three products so let's get to sharing which ones I picked up. This Christmas Dior have created two limited edition shades of their iconic Rouge Blushes and quite unusual for me I decided to pick up the Cosmic Coral shade, I normally tend to stick to pink toned blushes but I was over the moon with how the Cosmic Coral blush looked on my skin. Something I really loved is that the Cosmic Coral blush can be built up to be as light or pigmented as you want to be, especially handy so whether you want to use it as a light flush of colour with day to day makeup or you want to build it up with a more intense eye look for a night out.
I am all about the dark plum and berry lip colours at this time of year so as soon as Hannah pulled out the new Plum Eclipse Dior Addict Shine Refillable lipstick, she knew that I was going to be all for it cause the plum eclipse shade is just beautiful for Winter. I really like the Dior Addict refillable lipsticks because you can personalise them and purchase a separate case for the lipstick which online they have the most beautiful gold case for Christmas and in store they've got a bigger selection to pick from. The Christmas edition plum eclipse lipstick comes in a sleek black case so you can get one of the gorgeous patterned or coloured cases to keep in your handbag then switch out the actual shade of lipstick. These Dior Addict Shine lipsticks have such a creamy, hydrating and glossy formula, Hannah is fully to blame for quickly getting me addicted to these!
After all my visits to Dior, I finally got on the Lip Glow Oil train and picked up the cherry shade. I've been a huge fan of the lip oils since the Clarins lip oils so I had to test out the Dior version (let me know if you want a Clarins Vs Dior lip oil review), you wouldn't believe how long it took me to decide on a shade. Because they're filled with Cherry oil, I had to go for the cherry shade which gives your lips a lovely flush of pink to them whilst deeply nourishing and protecting your lips. It also has a really nice mint scent to it so it feels nice and fresh when you apply it.
