I cannot get over the fact that it's already the end of August, I literally feel like I was just writing this post for July! I'm not going to lie, with the end of August it makes me so excited because it means that it's time for Autumn, my favourite quarter of the year and all things pumpkin spice. I just can't wait but let's focus and share a few things that I've been loving during the month of August.
Migraine Headband
Anyone that knows me personally will know that I have suffered with migraines since I was a teenager and for many years I had managed to keep them in check with a contraceptive injection but for the last 12 months they've truly come back with a vengeance and unfortunately for me, the majority of the rescue medications just make me throw up continuously and the one that I can take makes me fall asleep within 30 minutes of taking it and at the minute I'm getting a migraine every 2-3 days so I've been looking for other ways to manage the pain cause anyone who's had a migraine knows that they suck, thankfully I found this Migraine relief headband which I can wear any time that I get a migraine even when I'm in work. I really like this headband because I find that the cold is helpful for some immediate pain relief but my head is very sensitive to temperature so when I take this cold pack out of the freezer, I actually have to wear this back to front with the fleeced part against my skin whilst the ice pack is fresh out the freezer then as it defrosts I can flip it round how it's supposed to be.
3ina Colour Lip Glows
These 3ina Colour Lip Glows have been some of my go-to lip products this month because they leave my lips soft and hydrated whilst also giving it a gorgeous flush of colour. I love that these are filled with Shea butter so they help to hydrate your lips throughout the day and can be build up so you can either have a sheer flush or have fully opaque colour depending on what you are looking for. These are an amazing budget friendly option at only £16, plus they're cruelty free and vegan! My go-to's this months have been shades 386, 362, and 503, they're the perfect selection of nude, pinky nude and berry shades.
BondiBoost Thickening Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner
If you are up to date with my blog posts, you'll have seen my latest review of the BondiBoost Thickening Therapy range. This month it's been my go-to shampoo and conditioner, it's helped to leave my hair feeling thicker but also feeling soft and smooth whilst also getting my fine hair feeling thicker and fuller. I've been using these to wash my hair 1-2 times a week and they've left my hair feeling and looking amazing whilst also not stripping the colour out of my hair.
Pixi Rose Tonic
I was kindly given this Pixi Rose Tonic as part of a birthday present and I've finally used up all my other toners so I've added this rose one from Pixi into my skincare routine and so far I'm loving it. It's designed to be naturally soothing, hydrates and neutralises her skin, normalising your skin hydration levels and gently removing any impurities. This is gentle enough for my dry skin to be used twice a day and doesn't leave it with that stripped feeling.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
Yes I am incredibly late to this trend, but yes I finally got on the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush trend and I can actually say that I'm completely obsessed. I really like how easy these liquid blushes are to blend either with your fingers or with a brush, I ended up going for the shade Hope which is a really nice nudey mauve with a dewy finish. I've been using this liquid blush pretty much any time I've been doing makeup with my L'Oréal tinted serums and I only just a dot on each cheek to really give each cheek a natural flush of colour, I'm definitely going to have to head back for more of their deeper colours for autumn/winter!
Janet Murray Social Media Planner
I feel like my days have just blurred into one so having something like my Janet Murray Social Media planner has been an absolute lifesaver because I can literally get my content planned out in one place for my blog, social media and youtube (when I actually post youtube videos!). I do love that this gives your the monthly and daily planner sections as well as the national days so you can theme your content around particular days, I've been using her social media planners for the last 2 years and I honestly couldn't imagine life without them!
L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Creme & Immortelle Reset Eye Serum
Some of my favourite skincare products this month have been from the L'Occitane Immortelle range because my skin has absolutely freaked out and broken out like crazy with my anxiety absolutely freaking out. Thankfully using the Immortelle Divine Creme and the Immortelle Reset Eye Serum have been helping to save my skin this month. The Divine Creme has been such an incredible moisturiser either for day or night time for my dry skin, it's really helped to nourish my skin and leave it looking more hydrated and radiant. The Immortelle Reset Eye Serum is such an incredible eye serum with the bubbles of Immortelle Oil Extract which are suspended into the serum and then get massaged into your eye area and leave the skin around your eyes feeling so soft and hydrated.
What have you been loving this month?
