I'm all for the Christmas events at the moment so when the lovely folks at The Royal Albert Dock got in touch inviting me along to their Christmas Courtyard event, I of course said yes cause I'm loving the all the festive goodness at the minute. The day we headed to the event was a bit of a crazy day as I had another event in the morning then had to zoom home for something then had to head back into town for another event. Save to say by the end of the evening, I was completely done in by it all.
I love that the Royal Albert Dock are doing this little Christmas Courtyard which is a Scandinavian-inspired market stalls and they even have little flurries of snow that go flow every hour to give you that Christmas feel. You can get unique Christmas gifts, tasty treats, and even great cocktails with there being 10 different market stalls for you choose from to visit.
I loved that the entrance to the courtyard had the gorgeous green heart arches complete with a red bow, perfect for taking all the Christmas photos underneath. They even had two matching Liverbirds all done up with Christmas lights which just made the Christmas courtyard even more special.
First up, we came in from the cold and had some alcohol-free margarita's at Madre. I won't lie, these were really good but I blew my mouth off with the chilli (I'm slowly working on my spice tolerance). I found these refreshing but I think I would have preferred a more warming mocktail after coming in from the cold. Once we'd finished the drinks, we headed round into the courtyard to see the smaller stands as well as Bar Glue. Unfortunately my friend was in a wheelchair and we were sad to see that Bar Glue weren't wheelchair accessible so we stayed outside and got some hot chocolates from Francie's which I can confirm the Nutella hot chocolate is as good as it sounds and I highly suggest that you go get yourself one this Winter!
We did also do a little bit of shopping at Natures Treasure as well because who wouldn't want some pretty crystals as presents or as stocking stuffers?! I ended up coming away with a hanging crystal and my friend came away with a selection of smaller crystals, both of which were in mystery bags which I loved. I did however come away with about 20 different things that I wanted to buy so I will have to head back to Natures Treasure to treat myself and my loved ones to some crystals after the festive season.
