I'm always excited when the Christmas invites start rolling in and when the lovely girls at the Tom Ford counter in Flannels got in touch letting me know about an upcoming Christmas event, you know I completely jumped at the chance to get a space for their beauty and fragrance masterclass on how to transform your day to night look so you could literally take a few extra things to work and transform your look to go out for a Christmas night out after work.

All of the girls at the Tom Ford counter are so incredibly sweet and for this event we went upstairs to the private event space on the second floor. This was my first time going to a Flannels beauty event hosted in this event space, normally they've all been hosted on the ground floor. I loved how cosy and intimate this area was as you could enjoy the event without the hustle and bustle of everyone shopping around you.
They showed us how you can take your basic everyday makeup and use the eye colour quad to smoke out your eye makeup to take you from day to night. Tom Ford currently have 14 different eyeshadow quads so you can choose whichever one takes your fancy. Some of them come with a mix of matte and shimmer shades so you can pop some of the matte shades on for work then can smoke it out and put a wash of shimmer over the lid and into the inner corner for going out for Christmas events. You then can deepen up your makeup look for all the million and one photos with all the awful timed flash by applying a bit more of your bronzer and blush which will have lightened during the day and can also bring a bit of colour back to your face after a long day of being at work.
At this time of year during the day or during party season, I love a statement lip colour and Tom Ford do some beautiful lip products whether you prefer having a matte liquid lip that won't budge all day or would prefer the traditional satin bullet. They have a little bit of something for everyone. I feel like I grew up being a liquid lipstick person but now I'm well and truly a fan of the bullet lipstick because I can used the flat edge to line and fill in my thin lips. I really like the Tom Ford matte lip colour and lip colour, I find that even the matte lip colour still isn't completely matte and doesn't dry your lips out without an inch of their life but I will also put a clear lip oil or clear lip gloss over the top as needed.
To finish off the look, we got a little introduction to the world of Tom Ford fragrances (I can confirm, I already want like 100). They showed us the iconic scents people are going for this autumn winter but also how you can layer some of these with some of the classic Tom Ford scents to make your own personalised perfumes.
Do you have a specific look for the festive season?
Speak to you next time!
