I've struggled with my sleep for a while now so I've really been loving this combo from Temple Spa because it helps to relax and unwind ready to switch off for bed. I find like this December we should all have a bit of a theme about self care and looking after ourselves this Christmas, because we all go above and beyond to look after other people and make other people's Christmas extra special.
I've been adding the Repose relaxing night cream and Quietude aromatherapy spray into my nightly routine for the last month or so to see if it made a difference, one for my skin but also for my sleep and my stress levels. I also really like that not only do Temple Spa focus on the products, what they do for your skin and how they make you feel but they also give back to the community. They use their no.1 product, the Repose night cream to raise money for deserving charities and causes. Over the past 10 years, they've raised £1.7 million for various charities. This year, they have decided to raise money for Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer Scotland. Dementia is currently the UK's biggest killer and one in three people born today will develop the condition in their lifetime and it's a condition that is close to my heart with my maternal grandmother developing the condition towards the end of her life.
Repose Relaxing Night Cream
The Repose relaxing night cream is a great vitamin rich cream that is a blend of ten calming and relaxing essential oils to nourish your skin and soothe your soul to allow to relax and unwind before bed. It is filled with frankincense, lavender, bitter orange, patchouli, ad geranium oil which helps to comfort your senses and aid relaxation. I've been using this every night not only to help moisture my skin but to help relax and quieten my mind and anxiety. Whilst I'm applying the moisturiser, I take the time to massage the moisturiser into my skin to give me time to inhale the essential oils as I do a mini facial massage which helps me to relax to try and switch off at night.
I really like how plump and moisturised my skin felt the next morning after using this moisturiser. It's filled with jojoba seed oil, hops extract, vitamin A, E, & B5 to help keep your skin feeling soft and hydrated. This night cream has a really light floral scent to it and I've loved using it every night in combination with the sleep mist.
Quietude Chill Out & Sleep Well Mist
For years I've tried sleep mists on and off and to be honest, I've just thought they aren't really all they've cracked up to be however I am actually impressed with the Quietude chill out & sleep well mist because I've actually noticed that when I've used this spray on my bedding and pjs, it's actually helped me to drift to sleep easier which is something I've struggled with for years since I've been diagnosed with chronic pain.
This sleep spray is filled with geranium, lavender, chamomile, patchouli, frankincense, & vetiver which is such a calming, relaxing scent. I usually spray it on my pjs before I do my evening skincare routine then before I get into bed I spray it again onto my pillow and the top of my duvet cover so the scent envelopes me as I wind down for the day in bed. So far this has been the only sleep spray that hasn't been just straight lavender (you all know what I'm talking about!) and actually helps me drift off to sleep at night.
