We all know that I'm quickly becoming obsessed with Hourglass cosmetics and most recently I got the chance to head along to their counter in Flannels Liverpool for the launch of their new Veil Hydrating Skin Tints and new shades of the Phantom Glossy Balm so of course you know I jumped at the chance to try out these new products.
Veil Hydrating Skin Tint
Hourglass has finally gotten onto the skin tint trend and let me tell you, they have smashed it out of the park with their addition to the skin tint market. This Veil Hydrating Skin Tint is designed to boost your skin's moisture level by 52% and give you all-day hydration whilst giving your skin a light flush of colour to diffuse any imperfections and even out your skin tone. The formula has 94% natural-derived ingredients including hyaluronic acid, plant-based squalene, meadowfoam seed oil, and a rambutan blend. All of which helps to inject your skin with hydration, also helping your skin to look and feel smoother whilst helping provide your skin with continuous nourishment throughout the day.
I very typically was shade 1, the palest shade they have and currently they have 18 shades available to choose from. I'm always a bit dubious about how much coverage skin tints are going to give especially considering I tend to get quite a few breakouts so I want something that I can get a decent amount of coverage without feeling too heavy and caked on. Phoebe popped on the skin tint and I was so surprised at how glowing and hydrated my skin looked with just it on but then I really liked how you pop one layer on then layering it up to get a bit more coverage on the spots that your really need it. It literally felt like I just had skincare on and then rest of the day, I completely forget that I had anything on my skin for the entire day and I got so many compliments on my makeup.
Phantom Glossy Balm
I swear that Lynsey has been trying to get me onto the Phantom Glossy Balms for absolutely ages and when I saw them at their launch, I did like the formula but there wasn't a colour I was absolutely sold on. However, they recently launched some new shades and of course I fell in love with two of the new four shades.
These Phantom Glossy Balms is designed to be hydrating, smoothing and softening, all whilst giving your lips a gorgeous flush of colour. The new shades include Rise which is a cool beige, Sense which is a peachy beige, Desire which is a cool pink and Impulse which is a deep red shade. Phoebe ended up using the shade Desire which I did end up picking up because it just looked too pretty on not to get it and it really was my type of lip colour. So far I'm really loving these Phantom Glossy Balms and I can't believe it's taken me this long to try them out!
