I've had the Murad ExaSoothe range for a couple of months now and really notice a difference from using it. So I thought it was about time that I shared a proper review for you all so if you've seen and and aren't 100% sure if this is for you, hopefully this'll help make your mind up about the range.
When I first got this collection, I was using every time I did my skincare and now that my skin has calmed down I've mainly been starting to use whenever my skin starts having a flare up or starts becoming really dry. When I first started using it, I was getting dry, flakey red patches sporadicly over my face and sometimes my neck with using this routine, morning and night this improved those patches, within 24 hours the redness was pretty much reduced then the dryness and flakiness went within 2-3 days.
Soothing Oat & Peptide Cleanser
I'm very particular about my facial cleansers because of my dry skin, I hate that stripped feeling that you can get with certain cleansers if they're too harsh for your skin. This Soothing Oat & Peptide Cleanser is designed to cleanse over-dry or eczema-prone skin without that stripped feeling. It's a really creamy micellar cleanser because of the micellar peptides which help to soothe your skin, the oat helps to calm your skin whilst hydrating and the Shea Butter helps to curb any irritation and replenish a moisture-depleted barrier.
I really how creamy and soothing this cleanser is, I particularly love to use it in the evening as my second cleanser in my double cleanse routine. After 2-3 days of using it twice a day, I noticed that the redness has greatly improved and you could barely see any. I also really liked that this cleanser hasn't give me that tight, stripped feeling to my skin at any point in using it now. Now that my skin is under good control, I've stuck to using this range when I get a stick flare up because of how quick and easily it helps resolve any dry, flakey or irritated skin.
Daily Defense Cream
Even with my dry skin, I've always stuck to thicker moisturisers but this Daily Defense Cream is a blend of colloidal oatmeal, niacinamide, mondo grass sugars and lipids which help to strengthen your skin from within, whilst also locking in moisture, give you long lasting relief whilst being deeply hydrating. I really liked that this moisturiser was more of a balm texture than cream so it's really helped lock in moisture and nourish my skin without leaving it looking or feeling greasy. I've tried this moisturiser on skincare only days but also on days that I've worn makeup and I can confirm that it makes such a beautiful base for your makeup.
Quick Relief Moisture Treatment
I really love that Murad have thought of everything by adding the Quick Relief Moisture Treatment to their range. This treatment is perfect for adding on top of any irritated and flakey areas to help nourish and hydrate them. It's filled with a ground cherry blend and oat lipids that help to rapidly soothe, hydrate, replenish, and restore your skin's suppleness, they've also added in highly concentrated colloidal oatmeal which helps to fight minor skin irritations that may be triggered by eczema prone or overly dry skin.
This treatment has been an essential in my daily skincare routine, I've been cleansing and toning my skin then popping this on the ares that I've got some particular dry or irritated skin. Because I've had quite a few breakouts over the last few months, I've been popping on any spot treatment, letting that sink in then popping this treatment on top to help soothe and nourish the dry and irritated skin around my breakouts and it's helped them heal faster and overall look better while they're healing.
