Over the past couple of years I've done a couple of events with the McDonald's stores in Liverpool and most recently Lucy Blundell kindly invited me along to the launch of the brand new Maghull store which also coincided with the 2022 launch of the McDonalds Monopoly.
The new Maghull McDonalds is situated in the service station on the M58 Maghull and is part of Mark Blundell's franchise. It is perfectly located for the local community but it's also in the perfect spot when you're travelling on the M58 as you can literally see it from the motorway so it's perfectly situated for when you need a break from being in the car and you need to stretch your legs.
The newly built Maghull McDonalds is combining what we used to love about McDonalds and some new features. Right as you walk in there are the monitors that you can place your own orders but you can also log into the McDonalds Rewards scheme to get points for each order you make, to the left is seating including the wireless chargers (we all know how handy they are when you've been in the car for a while) and to the right is even more seating including the outdoor seating area with an outdoor play area. One really interesting thing they have done at this McDonalds is that they have separated out where the McDelivery drivers pick up orders. I don't know if you've been in McDonalds over the past year but all the ones that are local to me whenever you queue to get your food, there is a whole queue of delivery drivers and sometimes you feel like your orders are taking ages but the delivery orders seem to be going through so quickly. In the Maghull McDonalds they've actually separated out where the McDelivery drivers can pick up their orders, it's a whole separate entrance that they can pick up orders which is directly connected to the kitchen. This then allows you to feel like your orders aren't a second priority.
I really like how they've designed the new Maghull McDonalds. It's situated perfectly when you're travelling, you can either go through the drive through or park up and stretch your legs then enjoy a coffee while the kids run their energy out in the play area. I also love that they have also separated out where delivery drivers pick up orders. Overall I'm really impressed with how the new Maghull McDonald looks, all it needs is someone in a Ronald McDonald costume.
