It's officially the changing of the season, it's time for me to start looking after my dry skin because with all the cold, rainy weather and the start of people and places putting heating on, my skin just can't take it. Recently I've been testing out a facial wash and eye cream from L'Organiq and I thought I would share with you all how I got on with them.
L'Organiq
L'Organiq was started by the lovely Emma Chevrel after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and found that during her treatment her skin became super sensitive and she struggled to find skincare that didn't aggravate her already fragile skin. After being told to come back when she felt better after going to a well known department store looking for skincare advice, it lit a flame within her that encouraged her to create L'Organiq. An unbiased premium natural skincare brand that is accessible and affordable for everyone from teen to adult. Clear Skin Cleanser
I received the Clear Skin cleanser from L'Organiq which is a fragrance free facial cleanser that is designed to tackle blemish and spot prone skin and helps to exfoliate your skin whilst also nourishing it at the same time. It's filled with apricot extract, vitamin A and C, and avocado oil to really help tackle blemish prone skin whilst also helping to nourish your skin from the deepest layers.
Because I have pretty dry, sensitive skin I really dislike the foaming face washes cause they really leave my skin feeling dry and stripped. Thankfully the Clear Skin cleanser has helped me to tackle spots that have been caused by wearing face masks for so long and anxiety spot picking (yes that is a thing people with anxiety can suffer from) but it's also helped keep my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Thankfully I've not had any episodes where it's irritated the sensitive skin on my cheeks. I'm quite lucky in the fact that even though my skin is sensitive, it doesn't react to fragrance in skincare/makeup products. Even if it did, this facial cleanser is completely fragrance free so it's perfect for those out there that might react to that. It's £15 for a 100ml jar and you can actually keep hold of your original jar and just order the refill container without the pump.
Pro-Age Eye Cream
I tend to get quite dehydrated skin at the very edge of my dark circles and I was unfortunately genetically blessed with fine lines from my late teens, these are always my key concerns when it comes to eye products so I was excited to test out the Pro-Age eye cream to see how it helped tackle these. This eye cream is designed to help tackle fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and dry skin around your eye. It's filled with hyaluronic acid, green tea, arnica and raspberry extract to help lock in moisture and also to give you tighter, firmer skin around your eyes with long term use.
My under eye area is always the tell tale sign of how dehydrated my skin is feeling, with it being thinner than the skin on the rest of my face. I often find that this is where when I'm wearing makeup, I find that my makeup will cling to the drier patches of my under eyes. I find the Pro-Age eye cream is creamy and nourishing as soon as you apply it but very light and it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything at all. I find that it does take a little longer to massage into your skin (I prefer to use my metal eye massager to massage it in) but once it's massaged in, it leaves your skin feeling silky soft and hydrated. I also really liked using it on the days that I'm wearing makeup because it left my skin feeling silky soft, my makeup just applied so beautifully over the top.
