We all know that I'm on a journey to slowly improve my physical and mental health so when I got the chance to try out one of RWL's programs, I jumped at the chance to try it out. I've been having a bad few months in terms of fatigue and pain so trying something like this would really help me to get my butt back into gear without it being a massive shock to the system.
RWL
RWL has been around since 2013 and is an online website and app that allows you a completely tailored plan to help give you guaranteed results and allow you to live a healthier lifestyle. Their programs include workout programs, flexible food plans and meal ideas, mindset and knowledge as well as 1 to 1 guidance and community support. Besides their challenge and live workouts, they have 15 different sections to find workouts in depending on what you're looking for in your workouts and they've got over 4,000 workouts on their website.
Summer Shred Program
On the RWL app and website you can choose a program of workouts to follow like the Summer Shred that I followed or you can simply pick and choose and make your own custom plan. As soon as you log in, it brings you up some tabs to look through depending on if you're looking for a workout, some delicious and healthy recipes or you're looking to make some like minded friends. Just underneath that you can find your recommended program which changes depending on what you're looking to get out of RWL.
I've recently been trying out their Summer Shred '23 program which has 4 x 30-minute workouts a week and a healthy meal plan to go along with it. I really like that RWL really helped you get your head around eating what you love whilst still being within a calorie deficit and if there was something you didn't like on the meal plan, you can quickly and easily swap it out. I really loved the recipe section as it was perfect for getting meal ideas cause I feel like my inspiration has been dwindling cause I've mainly been having the same meals. I found it really handy for some things I can meal prep to have a during a working lunch. They're also constantly updating their recipe bank and adding even more onto their nutrition section.
I really liked that the workouts were 4 x 30-minute videos which considering I'm getting back into my fitness and have bad lungs, these shorter workouts really helped me dip my toe into the fitness world without overdoing it and making myself really sore or causing a pain flare up. Each of their videos they also made adaptations so if you couldn't do the move in a certain way or with a certain weight, you could make the workout work for you.
I loved how the RWL site and app is such a pressure free space, you can chat to other like minded people and also check out their mindset section to get some great meditations and mindset courses. Towards the end of my Summer Shred challenge, my mental health took a real dive, I flicked through the stress and sleep videos on the app which gave me some really helpful tips. It's definitely going to be a platform that I use going forward as I really enjoyed my time whilst using it for the Summer Shred program and I can't wait to see what challenges they bring out next.
