We all know what a skincare fan I am, I'm all for products that are going to leave my skin feeling nourished and looking hydrated. Recently the lovely folks at Green People got in touch asking if I wanted to try out some of their Nordic Roots serums/facial oils and see how they helped to nourish and repair my skin ahead of Autumn/Winter.
Green People
Green People was started 25 years ago by the wonderful Charlotte Vohtz in the UK, who was driven to create a truly organic skincare brand after her daughter Alexandra battled multiple skin allergies and eczema. Charlotte wanted to help others to embrace a truly organic lifestyle and helped to create the first standards for organic beauty. They have over 400 different product formulations, use over 150 organic ingredients, partner with over 40 different charities and have won over 270 awards for their products.
Nordic Roots Skincare
I was kindly sent a couple of products from the Nordic Roots range to test out. The Nordic Roots range is inspired by the Scandinavian love of purity, simplicity and functionality. It delivers powerful results with a blend of sustainably sourced, honest ingredients. The Nordic Roots range contain powerful plant extracts from Atlantic Seaweed to Hop flowers and Apple complex. All of the products contain sustainably sourced ingredients from across Scandinavia. I was kindly sent the Hyaluronic Booster serum and Marine Facial oil from the range to test out.
The Hyaluronic Booster serum is a must have serum for everyone, especially those with more dry or dehydrated skin. This serum is a fast absorbing serum that is designed plump your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It is filled with Hop flowers, Squalane, Glycerine, Sodium Hyaluronate which helps to promote an even skin tone, softens and moisturises, deeply hydrates and protects your skin. My big tip with hyaluronic acid serums is to make sure your skin is wet before you apply it to really lock in all the moisture. I love using a facial spray first then popping this Hyaluronic Booster serum on to get the most out of my serum. I've been using this serum morning and night and absolutely love it. It's left my skin feeling so soft and hydrated and I really notice the difference in my skin when I don't use it.
Next up I've been testing out the Marine Facial oil which is a collagen boosting facial oil to help promote glowing skin. It's filled with Vitamin E, Hop flowers, Atlantic Seaweed, and Oat Kernel oil which helps to lock in moisture, even out your skin tone, and boost collagen supplies to keep your skin firm and reduce fine lines. I've loved adding in a facial oil into my skincare routine because I've mostly been using serums. The facial oil really locks a lot more moisture and especially as we're switching seasons at the moment, it's been perfect. When the weather has been a bit warmer, I've been using the Marine Facial oil just in the evening but on those days when the weather is more cold and dreary, I know that I'm going to wearing heavier makeup all day or when I'm gonna be wearing a face mask in work all day, I'll pop this facial oil on in the morning to really give my skin a hit of moisture and really nourish my skin.
Overall I've really loved trying the Green People Nordic Roots serums/oils. I loved how classic but eye catching the packaging is and I really liked how their products aren't really heavily scented so for those of you out that like their skincare to not have a scent or if you have reactions to fragrances in skincare, these would be perfect for you. I also find them very reasonably priced at £30 and £28 but a little of these products go a long way, I've been using them for a couple of weeks and it looks like I've barely used any in the bottles so I can see these products lasting a long while so you'll really get your money's worth.
