I've always been the palest of the pale and I cannot tan for the life of me. I will burn and have a tan for a week then after a week the tan will completely disappear so I no longer bother cause it's not worth the pain of the sunburn. I remember once trying to use fake tan back when I was in my teens and noticed that the shades were lets face it awful for those of us that have that typical English Rose pale skin. Most recently I've been adding the Dove Summer Revived gradual tanners which have allowed me to even my skin and have a nice glow without going orange. The lovely folks at Dove kindly sent me out the light to medium and medium to dark shades, I won't need the medium to dark shades so I've gifted them to family but the light to medium is perfect shade for me.
DermaSpa Gradual Self-Tan Body Mousse
The DermaSpa Gradual Self-Tan Body Mousse is designed to nourishing, streak-free and fast absorbing. The mousse formula gives you a lightweight, buildable tan that is designed to give you 48-hour hydration with a beautiful sun kissed glow. Because of the fast drying formula, it's perfect for popping on then getting dressed, you don't need to wait ages for it to dry before getting dressed or worry about it staining your clothes. I really liked how hydrating this self-tan mousse is and I can build it up to either give me a little flush of colour (e.g. make me look less milk bottle and actually have some colour to me) or you can build it up to give you a deeper colour, whichever you prefer. I really like that it doesn't have the typical fake tanner scent, it has a light fruity scent.
DermaSpa Gradual Self-Tan Body Lotion
I feel like when people talk about the Dove gradual tanning products, this DermaSpa Gradual Self-Tan Body Lotion is the product that I always see people raving about. Similar to the self-tan mousse, this body lotion gives you 72 hours of hydration whilst giving you a lightweight, buildable tan. I like how I can build it similar to using the mousse but I find that this is more hydrating so I really like using this when my skin is feeling really dry whilst still getting a light flush of colour. I particularly love using the body lotion on my legs, I find that it dries in the same amount of time as any other body lotion that I've used. It also has a really nice fruity scent so it's perfect for using it on a regular basis as you don't need to worry about having that fake tan smell.
DermaSpa Summer Revived Face Cream
I haven't used this facial tanner a whole lot because I tend to avoid putting fake tan on my face, mainly because I am so pale so I generally stick to the same foundations all year round so facial tanner has never really interested me. I will say this DermaSpa Summer Revived Face Cream is great for giving you that natural sun kissed glow like you would get on holiday where you can just throw on some mascara, brows and highlighter and you're good to go. I will say with this one, I pop my usual moisturiser and skincare routine on, leave that to soak in before using a small amount of this face cream and massaging it into my face and neck to just give it a very subtle sun kissed look whilst still being able to match my foundation shades.
Body Love Care + Radiant Glow Body Lotion
The Body Love Care + Radiant Glow body lotion has been the perfect body lotion to use during the summer. This body lotion is all about giving your body some love, no matter how we're feeling about them. It's designed to help illuminate and nourish your skin, it's filled with ceramide restoring serum which helps to strengthen your skins barrier and helps lock in moisture. I've loved using this body lotion following a shower and it leaves my skin feeling so nourished and hydrated, it also has the nicest scent to it! I love using this prior to using any of the tanning products to give me the best tan application and to stop it sticking to any drier areas.
