It's finally starting to get into Spring weather and mood and with the changing of the season, it's time to review my skincare to see what is working and what needs refreshing. Helpfully, the wonderful folks at Good Molecules sent me along some of their bestselling products for me to try out and share with you all.
Lightweight Daily Moisturiser
The lightweight daily moisturiser is a lightweight moisturiser that is designed to help smooth and hydrate, whilst also helping to prep your skin for makeup. I really like that it's filled with avocado oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter meaning it's super hydrating without being too heavy on your skin. It's suitable to used morning and night and for only £11 for a 100ml tube, it's a great budget friendly option.
I have annoyingly dry skin all year round but as you can imagine that once the weather starts getting warm, nobody wants heavy skincare products when you are sweating so I really like that this moisturiser feels like a thicker texture but as soon as you start massaging it into your skin, it literally melts straight into your skin and leaves your skin feeling nourished and hydrated which makes it perfect for the warmer months.
Niacinamide Brightening Toner
Now I have seen this niacinamide brightening toner going viral on social media so I was really excited to see it included in the box of goodies. This alcohol-free toner is designed to target uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores to help promote brighter, more even skin tone with niacinamide, arbutin, and licorice root extract. I've used it once so far and it has such a light scent to it and leaves my skin tingling after I first used. I'm excited to see how it helps my skincare by adding into my routine, I'm currently using up one from the body shop and then this one will go into the skincare rotation so I'll be sure to come back with some reviews once I've used it a fair bit.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Life with chronically dry skin means that myself and hyaluronic acid are the best of friends so hyaluronic acid serums are a staple part of my skincare routine and I'm quickly coming close to running out of my current hyaluronic acid so I was happy to see it in my box of goodies. Now hyaluronic acid serums can vary depending on brands and I really like that this hyaluronic acid is slightly thicker in texture meaning it doesn't immediately go everywhere when you try and put it on your skin but equally it doesn't leave a thick, sticky texture once you've massaged it into your skin.
Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel
I have been plagued with dark circles since I was in my teens and despite all the naps that I have, unfortunately my genetics are not on my side and I will forever have dark circles. I have found that the yerba mate wake up eye gel is great for helping soothe and revive my eyes, I've noticed that it does help any puffiness around my eyes whilst also leaving my hydrated which is perfect before putting any makeup on. I'm excited to see how this eye gel helps during the summer as usually during the hotter and hayfever months, I will put my eye products in the fridge to chill them and help me to reduce the puffiness.
