March Favourites

Considering that I grew up in the world of Youtube beauty gurus I have always been a several steps type of eyeshadow girl but recently I've been going for a simple wash of colour to brighten my eyes and disguise/distract from how tired I've been this month. I've really been loving the Afterglow eyeshadow palette from NARS and particularly the shades push it, riding high and bayadere I for a subtle wash of colour. I do love that this small NARS palette as it's perfect for travelling as it has a little bit of everything with the mattes and shimmers as well as neutrals and some bright shades so you can make multiple different looks. 

We all know how much of a big fan I am of Dermalogica products so is it any surprise that the Awaken Peptide eye gel is in this months favourites. It's a super lightweight gel formula that's filled with jojoba ester, rosemary leaf extract, peptide blend, succinic acid and caffeine which help to firm whilst also hydrating and soothing yet also tackling the fine lines and puffiness. I love keeping this eye gel in the fridge so it's nice and cooling to help tackle the puffiness I've been experiencing which is down to my lack of sleep as well as the lovely hay fever making the rounds. Once applied it also leaves a lovely radiance to the skin to help mask those dark circles (massively down to my genes but also not helped by my lack of sleep!).

I was introduced to 3ina back in December and whilst they kindly gifted me some products I've also been along to Superdrug and purchased some of their products myself. Most recently the 512 highlighter and 601 concealer have been my favourite, both of these were tried on me when I met the lovely Laura and Jasmine. The 512 highlighter is perfect for me as I'm definitely more of a powder highlighter girl but the 512 is the perfect champagne gold and just adds that beautiful light from within glow without you having shed loads of makeup on. The 601 concealer has been my go-to when I've been wearing a skin tint or little to no makeup cause you can build this concealer up or make it more sheerer depending on the look I'm completing that day. It's a lovely creamy concealer and blends beautifully, it does also make a quick and easy eye base.

I seem to have really gotten into using an essence since this Supreme Essence of Torricelumn arrived from Elizabeth Grant. I apply it straight onto cleansed skin following my toner and my skin drinks this up. It's filled with Torricelumn, ubiquinone, marula oil and Japanese green tea which helps to tackle the signs of ageing, to boost your skin's collagen production whilst also moisturising and refreshing your skin. Elizabeth Grant is a more luxury skincare brand but a little does go a long way with their products so you're gonna get your money worth, I still have a good chunk of products left that even with regular use have lasted me since the middle of last year.
