Giving My Fine Hair Some Life Again | Nioxin Review

Danielle Levy, Nioxin, Nioxin fine hair, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,
If you've been reading my blog or following my Instagram for a little bit, you will know that I have fine hair but about two years ago I went on the contraceptive pill and it literally caused me to loose like half my hair, so I've been putting some products for thin/fine hair to the test to see if I can find my fine hair essentials. Nioxin is first on my list to try, I have already tried one of their products before so I've been really excited to put these to the test.

Nioxin
Nioxin was founded by the lovely Eva Graham in 1987 and was inspired by her own experiences of loosing her hair following childbirth, she made it her mission to help men and woman to keep their hair and to make people feel good about themselves. Since the Nioxin Research Laboratories was founded in 1987, they have developed a wealth of innovative formulas which are designed to cleanse, restore, and activate your scalp and hair. From the very beginning Nioxin have always offered research-backed education to hairdressers to identify their clients needs and provide tailored treatments and product recommendations.

Anti Hair Loss Serum
I have tried and loved one of Nioxin's hair serums before so I was excited to try out the new Anti Hair Loss serum on my fragile, thin hair. The Anti Hair Loss serum is designed to be a leave-in hair treatment that is supposed to thicken the hair from the first use and help reduce hair loss in eight weeks by improving hair anchorage. It's filled with caffeine, lauric acid, niacinamide, and Sandalore, all of which help to reduce hair fall, improve hair anchorage and thicken hair.

If you have fine hair then you know that with fine hair we have to be so careful about our haircare products as they can quickly and easily make our hair look greasy and flat. I've been using the Anti Hair Loss serum following every hair wash (you can actually use it on dry hair too) and I've found that it leaves my hair looking more thicker at the root and it actually looked more voluminous at the root even if I let it air dry from the first use. The bottle contains a slim nozzle so it makes it super easy to section your hair and get the product right to the root of your hair and it's such a lightweight product, I don't have to worry about my hair being weighed down and greasy.

Deep Protect Density Mask
Since I started dying my hair, I've become a huge fan of hair masks because they literally save my highlighted hair from feeling like straw so I was so excited to try out the Deep Protect Density Mask. This mask is designed to leave hair conditioned, manageable and smooth, and the density-protection is supposed to help prevent hair breakage. It's designed particularly for coloured or dry hair so it's perfect for my hair cause it's both of those things!

Nioxin recommend that you put this on for 3-5 minutes but I've put it on as a quick conditioner during my shower (so probably about 5 minutes) and then sometimes I'll actually put it on, clip it up and leave it on all afternoon whilst I'm cleaning or doing blog admin and let me tell you, my hair!! Regardless of whether I leave it on for 3 minutes or for a longer amount of time, it leaves my hair so silky soft and tangle free. One amazing thing I've noticed is that after every time I use the Deep Protect Density mask, everyone seems to compliment me on how bright/blonde my hair looks!

Night Density Rescue
Lastly I got the chance to try out the Night Density Rescue serum which is designed to be a nightly leave-in treatment to boost your hair's density in two months. It's filled with their Oxydine24 technology which is a blend of antioxidants known to neutralize free radicals on the scalp surface. This serum is another serum that's designed to be used on either dry or damp hair and you only need two to four drops on your scalp then massaging it in a circular motion before gently brushing your hair and going to bed.

I was most nervous about using the Night Density Rescue serum as I was worried about putting it into dry hair incase it made it greasy, thankfully that is not the case. I've really loved the massage aspect of using this serum as it gives me a few moments to unwind properly from my day. Obviously this is designed to have effect over continued use over a couple of months so I'll take some progress shots so that in a couple of months, I can do a follow-up review so you can actually see the difference using it has made.

Have you tried Nioxin yet?
