Event | Tom Ford Soleil Summer Collection -

As usual having chronic illnesses means that I can often miss out on a lot and I was due to go to the launch event for the Tom Ford Soleil Summer collection at Flannels Liverpool but thanks to my health, I had to cancel last minute. Thankfully the wonderful girls at Tom Ford invited me back in at a later date for a 1:1 session to talk all about the new summer collection.

The Tom Ford counter in Flannels Liverpool is pretty much right in the door as you walk in. They've got several stands filled with their makeup, perfume and a station to get one of the various services done. Some of the Tom Ford beauty services are priced with it being redeemable on the products and they even offer some complimentary services depending on what you're looking for so whether you're a makeup newbie or are looking for an introduction into Tom Ford beauty, they have a beauty service to match your needs.

I was gutted to have missed the Soleil Summer collection launch event so I was so glad to go back at the later date for the 1:1 session. Faye and Anna at the counter were so lovely when I visited. They started talking me through the new addition to the Soleil fragrance collection then we talked all about the new additions to the makeup range whilst they tested them out on me.

I absolutely loved the texture of the Shade & Illuminate soft radiance primer which gave me such a beautiful base to my makeup and it also smelled incredible. It was a great base before we colour matched for foundation which surprise surprise I wasn't the palest shade that Tom Ford had which was a big surprise for me. The Soleil Summer makeup collection comes with a quad eyeshadow palette, highlighter, liquid lip blush and three shades of ultra shine lip colour. Now I was completely drawn to the quad eyeshadow palette because it's four shimmer shades and has the most beautiful blue colour, I'm really reaching for more colour in my life at the moment. These eyeshadow applied beautifully and Faye went for the deeper shade in the crease and then we went for the pop of colour by using the blue shimmer shade on my lid which really brought out the green in my eyes.

Now Tom Ford Beauty have had the lip blush for a little while now but this summer with their Soleil Summer collection, they launched the liquid lip blush which can be used in the traditional sense on your lips but is also suitable to be used on your cheeks. The lip blush and liquid lip blush adapt to your skin's pH to give you the perfect pink for your skin. It was so interesting to see how pink it went on my pale skin and my lips. I love that the product has little flecks of gold in the formula.

Lastly, we tried out the ultra shine lip colour and with the Soleil Summer collection, they've released 3 new shades to add to the range. We ended up going for the bright, berry pink to compliment the blue in the eye look. I loved how silky the lip products are especially for my dry lips and I'm quickly coming around to the glossy side with lip products. I absolutely loved having a 1:1 with Faye and the girls from Tom Ford in Flannels Liverpool, everyone was so nice and were so knowledgeable about the products so they could give the best product recommendations.
